"The Villager Apartments has gotten worse since I move in 2017. Homeless people would walk into the premise and we would have to call the cops almost every night. Gang signs written on apartment gates and trash cans. Apartments infested with bugs, noisy neighbors sometimes after 8 even though notices has been put out. Apartment not worth $900, more like $650. In other words, only an emergency or starter apartment."
"I lived there for 5 years when George Becerra owned it supposedly. When apt manager Cathy took over supposedly?? Rent was always paid on time.. I got sick but never did I not pay rent cause coins was saved. We went through me being a foster parent. Then I brought myself a nice SUV. My car got sprayed with Fire Extinguisher an baked in Az heat before!!! Jealous wow.. yes I work hard.. Paid my car when I seen it.."

The units are all overpriced they are full of roaches and bedbugs. The management let a homeless person live in the parking lot for months. This man set up a tent over the dumpster in there back lot. He was going through the residents trash daily. This man even taped into the electric box to steal power from our next door neighbors. They still did not ask him to move on they just moved him up front away from us and our neighbors. The management is just from across the border she doesn't even speak enough English to carry on a conversation and the maintenance man was the same way couldn't carry on any kind of a conversation. There idea of fixing a cracked tank on a toilet was to use a hard putty. The refrigerator we had was used and by the time we moved we were on our third refrigerator. The grass was not mowed but every other month at the earliest. The gras would get 18 20 inches tall and full of weeds they never killed or pulled the weeds they just mowed them down. They would let residents turn there dogs loose no leash and they just poop wherever they wanted. Like I said the place is full of roaches and bedbugs we ended up with both of them. The manager Paulo would not send out a pest control person to spray for these serious bedbugs or roaches because she and the owner George c Becerra were mad because after 2 years in this slum we found a better and cheaper place to live. You would think that after 2 years never being late on rent they would have treated us with some human kindness but no we had to have our new place spray for these pests. The owner is nothing short of a slumlord. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Don't rent from these people and like many others who are stuck there right now 8/7/2018 you will regret it too. People thought this was: Useful (2)"
"The Villager is the worst apartment complex imaginable. I lived there for more than 5 years. It was a good place when Edvard was in charge, but it turned into a slum after George C. Becerra bought it. Cockroaches are a huge problem; they invaded my kitchen (or tried to) almost every night, even after I did everything I could to stop them. Other insects will live in the apartment with you: spiders, springtails, and gnats are a daily sight. Sometimes you will see ants or scorpions. One time a lizard got into the apartment somehow. The pool is permanently closed. The back area is rarely maintained; there is often overgrown grass/bushes and fallen branches. The benches are falling apart or broken. The trash is not always emptied. Some walkways have trash in the way. Homeless people will go through the dumpsters. Whenever it rains, the parking lot floods. The office is almost always locked with no one around. Maintenance requests, whether simple or serious, may be ignored for weeks. If you leave a car door unlocked, a homeless person will open it and look for anything valuable. Police come out for drugs, thefts, trespassing, and other crimes. One of my neighbors was a sex offender and the other physically abused his girlfriend enough that she called the police more than once. I had a security deposit of $764 that was never returned to me. They didn't make up bogus charges; they just never sent anything. I was supposed to get an inventory and my deposit within 14 days of moving out according to Arizona law, and I got nothing. They also ignored my texts and letters requesting my deposit."
"My fiance and I are moving from palm bay florida to Phoenix and i just so happened to call this apartment complex. I didn't get an answer so i was gonna scratch it off, but they called back and we talked forever. the staff seems amazing and even with the two day set back they were still able to hold our apartment. I was afraid to move to Phoenix but the staff has made if feel like I'm coming home. Can't wait to meet all of our neighbors and this amazing landlord that i keep reading about."
