"I suffered a catastrophic accident in 2011 at work which left me totally disabled. I was crushed by a forklift which made powder out of my pelvis.. Long story short my left leg healed about an inch shorter than my right leg. Hanger has been fitting me with shoes and orthotics since my accident. I couldn't be happier with the level of expertise I've received through the years. I would highly recommend them to anyone."
"Horrible quality, very generic, and useless. I made several visit to fix my orthotics and my feet hurt worse after "breaking them in." They scan one foot with the assumption that both feet are identical, Negituve 10, wouldn't recommend. Find a podiatrist that actually knows what they are doing, any referral to the Hanger proves otherwise."
"I was sent to the Hanger Clinic by my ankle doc who suggested (wisely) that I consider surgery as the very last choice and to instead first try using an orthotic insert in my shoe to protect and support my ankle. After a lifetime of ankle twists and rolls, at 70 years-old I'm having some issues....haha. Like, I cannot hike or carry a backpack as I have for 50 years. Sure, getting older has its cost, however short of an ankle replacement, this insert has turned out to be a wonderful tool. I have a nice assortment of ankle supports that provide nice compression and slip on fairly easy. One is a speed lace wrap and another has hard plastic internal stays to keep my ankle from rolling outward or inward. They all work to a degree. This new piece, though, is the best so far. The front office reception staff was excellent and professional, caring sincerely about my appointment and the fact that I lived 45 minutes from their office. So was the nice lady clinician who molded my orthotic, delivered and fit it, and adapted it to my actual shoe.... truly excellent, accurate, and friendly. This is definitely a tough job when you consider the patients that come through the door, many of which are severely crippled or painfully saddened from their physical situation. I am lucky to only have a continually weak and painful ankle....another man waiting to have his orthotic fitting was in a wheelchair and missing a foot. The old saying about don't judge until you've walked in another man's shoes certainly applies. Their fabricators in Tempe did an outstanding job, too, since this tool fit almost perfectly from the start. I've been using it more and more each day, as I was recommended to do by the clinician. It's giving my opposite side hip a break as well since I have been naturally avoiding pain and using my alternate side too much to support my weight and it has made that hip painful. Now, relief is evident and I'm going for it. I'm sorry that the earlier reviewers had such a challenging time. Obviously the Hager Clinic has had a change of employees and their newer staff is impressive in all the right categories - compassionate, professional, timely, and honest. I'll recommend this branch, this clinic, to anyone and everyone that I know who might be in a similar need. Selah."
"Cliff is the clinic's certified pedorthist. He is very knowledgable, considerate, patient, and attentive. The entire staff is very friendly. I am extremely grateful for their medical services."
"I have never experienced such poor customer service as I have from the Oro Valley branch of Hanger Clinic. On my first appointment. Brandon the supposedly certified fitter, insisted I wear a size 10 B shoe after years of wearing size 10+1/2 2 EE wide shoes due to my bunions, to the receptionist who forgot to write me in for a scheduled appointment, causing me to come back several more times than I needed to, to sending me a bill 11 months after the shoes and inserts fit properly and I was told by Brandon that there would be no cost to me. I received the bill for nearly $2500 because they did not follow medicare guidelines and obtain the needed information from my provider upfront so I could obtain the medicare benefit for a pair of orthopedic shoes at no cost to me. I called the hanger clinic in Oro Valley after receiving this outrageous bill and informed them I would return the 4 pairs of inserts and the shoes as I could not afford to pay that kind of expense, especially since I was told by Brandon that I would owe nothing. I was informed that Hanger would write the balance off because they had not obtained the needed information upfront from my provider. Several months later I received another bill from Hanger for $398.90. and 2 weeks after that received the same bill again. I called the office on October 20, 2016 and spoke with Denise and informed her I can only pay $50 a month and we agreed I would start payment on November 15, 2016..On November 7th I started getting phone calls from an Ohio number I did not recognize . I was not able to pick the call up until November 10 and it was a collection agency. Freddie said he is collecting a debt of $398.90. I informed Freddie that I had made arrangement to pay this with Hanger Clinic and would speak to Hanger Clinic. I called and spoke to Denise on November 10 and she said this should not have gone to collection but their system sent it anyway. Denise said she would talk to her manager and would call me back . Denise did call me back promptly, and said her manager made a call to stop the collection, but as I explained to her the damage has been done. If this was sent to a collection agency that will go on my credit and affect my credit score which I have worked so hard to build. I asked for her manager's name and requested a call back from the manager."
