"Terrible experience. They were treating me for the wrong illness. I was in kidney failure and they didn’t catch it for a day and a half. My fluid intake and output was not monitored. I had very high blood pressures, and it was not addressed for hours. Taking my vital signs was more of an afterthought. They roughly put ointment up my nose without telling me what they were going to do. I was in tremendous pain from compartment syndrome, and I was never treated with the standard of care for it. My pain was ignored. When I asked for a bedside commode, the nurse had me pee the bed instead, and my sheets or gown were never changed. It was very dehumanizing! My room was never cleaned. I was never helped with bathing (I was in ICU). Food was cold. Staff was rude and condescending. They did not explain anything to me. I had to beg for help. I was awake for over 72 hours, and my daughter who lives in Texas had to call the unit to get them to finally address it. An icu nurse friend said they should have knocked me out with medication , and that they handled everything wrong. I will never go there again! Even if I’m dying! Stay away if you care about your health. The nerve damage from the compartment syndrome is likely permanent, due to their poor quality of care."

"My husbands care at OVH was very good. The nurses and Doctors were attentive and always willing to answer any questions. The hours of the cafeteria and options in vending machines are below par though. Hard to imagine not being open on weekends when many people come to visit patients. The options in vending machines needs to be upgraded to some healthier options. Missed finding a place to get fresh coffee too. Nurses offered coffee for me at the nurses station, but it was only instant and I’m not a fan"

"I had a great experience at Oro Valley hospital. I was extremely anxious for my endoscopy, but all of the staff and nurses made me feel comfortable, talked me through everything they were doing before and after my procedure. Those nurses were caring, sweet, knowledgeable and helped calm my nerves tremendously."

"I was seen quickly in the ER. My granddaughter brought me in with stroke symptoms. I was given great care & transferred to ICU, educated on what had happened & monitored til released 2 days later with new medication.Knowledgeable & empathic Dr. Fisher & stroke coordinator, Austin provided assurance & assistance. And the hospital food was healthy , nutritious & delicious. A few days before that my husband was a patient for an infection & total hip replacement. He was given excellent care as well."

"I was having surgery at the outpatient surgery. I was greeted immediately and taken to registration. My surgery was scheduled for 11:00 AM. I arrived at 9:00 AM and was taken back at 10:00 AM. My surgery was delayed by 2 hours so I didn’t go into surgery until 1:00 PM. Everyone was very pleasant and made me feel very comfortable. I really liked that each of the patients room that you are put in to get you ready for surgery are actual rooms with your own bathroom and very private. Very very nice! I was very pleased with my overall experience."
