"I have to say I'm disappointed so far and it's less than an hour. The only on site food options are all over 21, not exactly family friendly. This brand is for families and budget business travelers, why a bar is on site, and the only option, is questionable. The bathroom door has a full length glass. It's frosted, but you can see through it. Worse the sink is outside the toilet area. When going up to our room the door was also ajar. Nothing out of place, but why was the deadbolt jammed with the door open? I've stayed at a lot of Marriott properties and this property feels like it's trying to be somewhere between a Westin or Sheraton and a moxy. What they're doing is OK, but not under the residence inn or courtyard brands IMO. It's a stark disappointment compared with the property in Flagstaff as a comparison point. I hate to give it a bad review, but due to misleading information on the site in terms of options, we're stuck finding food with 3h waits and no reservations due to a local game. Maybe if it wasn't for the other issues we would have overlooked the onsite bar. Edit: There is also no garbage can in or around the toilet for women's hygiene products. The shower also won't go above 72F, though the sink gets much hotter at around 95F. Why is the shower so limited? Edit 2: Key cards are apparently not coded to floors. There's a bunch of floors rented out for some competitions. Groups found it funny to spend time knocking on other doors on other floors 5+ times between 12 midnight and 3am. Cards should be coded by floor in such a large hotel to avoid this and safety issues."
"I was really looking forward to staying here. Our room was so hot and took a very long time to cool down. Our shower dial was very much stuck in the off position. We did not contact customer service since it was around 6am and we had to be at a training shortly after. It took my husband and I to get it to budge so the water would turn on. The next morning the hot water would not come on. The room also makes these odd popping noises throughout the day. Could be the plumbing. Our room was obviously neglected for some time . There is a very thick layer of dust in the shower vent. No hand soap, minimal counter space. There is currently construction outside of the hotel. I was aware of the parking fees. There's a coffee shop on the lobby floor that sells a selection of Starbucks drinks and pastries but they close at 10am. Breakfast is very basic: scrambled hotel eggs, sausage, cereals, and breads . Pros, There are a lot of places to eat and gather groceries within walking distance. Front desk was very polite when checking in."
"I recently stayed at this hotel with my son while on a weekend trip. The rooms were decent. There is a film over the window, making any view of the city a little challenging (perhaps it distributes heat from the sun?). We mostly used the rooms to crash after a day of being out and about. Service was adequate, but unable to answer simple questions like... best spot for a burger, etc. Parking is not great. There is a garage attached to the hotel, but it is $30 per day, and no in-out privileges. So you have to keep paying each time you leave. Valet was $43. It was fine for a quick trip, but I would probably opt to stay elsewhere when I return to Phoenix."
"This is a newer hotel on the edge of downtown Phoenix. The location is relatively good as it is very close to the Diamondback stadium. The hotel itself has limited room designs and selections. The major difference, from an upgrade perspective, is how high or low the floor of the room is. The room is well designed with the kitchen area at the front of the room and a nice couch/TV area. The bed area is next to the couch with the bathroom right next to the bed. Overall, it is a nice place to stay on a business trip."
"The staff allowed us to check in early into our suite. Quiet with great views of south mountain! Close to everything near the Footprint Center! One of the best kept secrets as it has a phenomenal bar...Little Rituals! I'd recommend this location and go to Breakfast Club for a bite to eat!"
