"Just a bad experience, not enough parking and a whole area closed for some reason. signs everywhere that they would not be responsible for stolen goods, because you need to park away from the front parking spots. If you make 300 rooms, make at least 300 parking spots!!!! Had issues with the TV and wanted to watch a movie. At 8:40pm asked the front desk for some help, and there was no maintenance until the morning. I told him, I want to see it tonight!!! Not worth the price"
"Overall hotel was ok but not worth the 200/ night price. Was there for a week and Room keys deactivated every day and we needed have them reprogrammed every day. So annoying when you have to stop by the front desk every night. Rooms seemed to be upgraded however the rest of the hotel dated. Staff were friendly. No house keeping unless you ask for it. Even though the app says every other day you have to ask and hope they put you on the list."
"I was on a business trip so it served my needs. A little farther from midtown than I prefer and with traffic sometimes took a little longer to get where I needed to go, but not a bad compromise for the price paid. The Black Canyon Hwy is right outside and it gets very noisy, but inside it's muffled enough that it didn't bother me. If you want to go for a walk, you can go around the block taking about a half hour. The Sheraton Cresent nearby is now abandoned and getting ready to be razed. They serve the standard SHS breakfast every morning, although I didn't think they were very attentive running out of coffee and other items at times. They did replace them after mentioning it though. Also, there are ample restaurants nearby. Even shopping and entertainment. So all together it's a pretty good deal. The Courtyard next door is doing some renovations and I may try them next time."
"I agree with the previous poster by far the worst Marriott property I've ever stayed at and I have over 1,200 stays in a Marriott property over the past 20 years. The entire place is in need of a major renovation the carpet is disgusting the furniture dirty and they don't clean your rooms unless you ask. The location is terrible a homeless Camp right across the street. The staff was friendly but failed to mention the fact they don't clean the rooms unless you ask. I would avoid this properly at all costs on top of that it was over $200 a night for a prepaid rate at SpringHill Suites."
"The WORST SpringHill Suites in the entire country! Run away fast from this hotel. Room had an awful smell and was very stuffy - I developed a severe cough (and I don’t have asthma), we opened the windows, and the windows were disgusting, and I bet there is mold growing under the carpeting. There is terrible noise constantly coming from the highway - impossible to sleep at night. There is no complimentary water. The breakfast was AWFUL. The cheapest bread in Sysco bags - the bagels were literally YELLOW. They had bananas only 1 day out of the 6 days we were there. Apparently, they buy bananas only once per week. The coffee was like flavored water. The scrambled eggs were finished by 8:30 AM every morning and not replenished. They ran out of cream cheese. The front desk staff were telling me this is all very “standard” for a SpringHill Suites. Are you kidding me? My next stop was Albuquerque, NM, and what a breadth of fresh air! We stayed at a SpringHill Suites there too - yummy breakfast, quality breads, croissants, fresh strawberries, fresh scrambled eggs with assortment of cheeses, and bananas every day, complimentary water every day. Excellent room. And excellent management. This is what’s standard. The Phoenix hotel was such a terrible experience - I don’t understand why Marriott is letting this hotel be a franchise - with the stingiest and worst ownership. They should remove the affiliation asap."
