Marine Lodge Yuma (Military on Base Hotel)

"Crazy expensive. For a non geo bachelor, $90 a night. They do provide cleaning service, tp, linen, and a TV. So it's more like a hotel than a barracks. Great AC."

"I want to start off by saying, I stayed in building 1056. This building's A/C is on blast 24/7 and keeps the room at a crispy 65°. If you enjoy that you'll be fine. I don't however, I cracked the code. Electric panel in the closet... turn the blower off for the room. Awesome. Next is the WiFi... Due to the construction of the room (prison / barracks style cinder block) the Wifi is weak within the rooms. The last complaint is the furniture. The room furniture is old barracks hand-me-downs and is positioned in an awkward way do using a computer at the computer desk is the only thing you will be doing. It faces the wall and is directly beside the computer so if you choose to eat at the desk you cannot also watch tv. I know, I know "why didn't you move the furniture"... because of the huge sign taped to the door that days "THE MOVING OF FURNITURE IS NOT AUTHORIZED". From what I've seen building 1060 has the best room setup. With that being said I absolutely agree with almost everyone else, the staff is amazing and very accommodating."

"If you like freezing showers and having to shave with the purest of Alaskan ice water, this is the place for you. On a plus, the twin size bed is wonderful if you're a grown adult and having to share the spacious 10x10 cell with a random stranger is great. The fact I can roll out of bed and into the sink is amazing, when my cellmate brushes his teeth and shaves at 4 am I feel like I'm doing the same thing. 10 out of 10 would recommend if you enjoy prison."

"depending on the building you get your experience will vary greatly. the first building I was in 1060 i would rate at a 4 stars. friendly and helpful staff, internet slow for downloading but no connection or streaming issues. however I was moved to building 912 after a month and the building is really old, drains don't work properly so the shower will overflow after 6-7mins. there is virtually no sound dampening from room to room, so if anyone in your hall has a different sleeping schedule you will need ear plugs. also the internet is EXTREMELY bad. spotty connection, you can stream netlfix if you let it buffer for a while but its slow. if you are looking to game just don't bother trying, the connection is inconsistent and will result in disconnects after a minute or 2. the download speed is only bout 400kbs/s and your outgoing speed is only about 80kbs/s I've got unlimited data and even with my data being throttled, its still better to just use my mobile hotspot than the buildings wifi."
