"Nice people. Great activities. Close quarters. Mixture of unit types. Behind a Walmart food store in town."
"Friendly acres really is friendly! Wonderful staff, fun and cute residents. I’ll definitely stay her again!"
"I visited a friend, who is quite happy living at Friendly Acres and has been there at least 20 years. I know my friend has been involved over the years in the many events at the community building, including line dancing lessons and community potluck meals. The park has done several improvements since the beginning of the pandemic, all of which make it a better looking park. The new Pickle Ball court seems to get plenty of use. To my knowledge, there are no rooms and no "service". As far as I know, this is a trailer park that has long-term residents and accepts some short-term RVs and 5th Wheels."
"In my view, this is the best park in town. It is clean, gated and large enough to offer a wide variety of activities. The rules are sensible and the guests are generally friendly and cooperative. It's close to everything Yuma has to offer but you could never leave the park and still have a great time. It is a block away from Walmart Marketplace, and a short drive to Old Town, shopping, and the casinos. It is less than 15 miles to Los Algadones for dental & optical services. Residents ride their golf carts or take their wagons to the grocery store. The streets are paved, so you can get in a good walk without leaving the park. Pets are allowed and the rules around pets are enforced. There is a great place to let the dogs enjoy the outdoors along the canal where they can get some exercise. People are expected to be considerate and keep their pets contained, and they do. This is one of those places that really does offer great activities throughout the park as described. Dances with live music, pool, card games, pickleball, shuffle board, bocce ball, potlucks, bingo, a swimming pool and spa. I haven't yet seen the craft room, but it's there. It's really hopping during the season but the nights are quiet. The park has a lot of brand new park models that are really beautiful. The spaces are small, & well maintained. Rules are enforced and the park is staffed year round. The prices can't be beat for all the park has to offer. Most people are returning guests with trailers set in place year round. A few are year round residents. Despite its age, it has a fresh look and neat and tidy spaces. With annual lot rent at $3200, many find it more economical to park their rig year round. Year round renters are allowed to put storage units on their space. It is a good idea to have the shed approved prior to purchase. There are some size and placement restrictions. Wi-Fi is available at specific locations near the clubhouses and game rooms. Spectrum offers cable service at each site guests can purchase for cable tv and Internet service. Residents are allowed to rent out their units during the season. The office keeps a list of properties for sale and for rent and can help get you connected. For some, this is a great option but planning ahead to secure a rental is necessary. The place fills up every year. Another unique feature is the offerings range from pull through RV spaces up to single wide mobiles. People generally start with an RV and decide to keep their rig in place. Some will opt to purchase one of the beautiful park models or a single wide if they choose to become long term residents. Single wide spaces are much larger and the lot rent is higher, but still reasonably priced. In my view, this is the best park in town. The location is ideal for enjoying good restaurants, sightseeing, finding great bargains in Mexico, and just enjoying the fun with other friendly winter visitors. The lot rent is still reasonable and the location can't be beat!"
