"1 Star. It could have easily been 5. On Feburary 20th, I visited the store to purchase a replacement SMOK Novo 5 kit to replace my other Novo 5 that I misplaced. I was greeted and welcomed by Ty, who was working at the time. The store was immaculately organized and clean, which made my OCD very happy. Ty also mentioned that they also had a Novo Master and I was curious to learn about it because I love the SMOK Novo line and have been using Novo's ever since the first generation. Ty knew everything about the device! He was super knowledgeable and got me super excited to buy it. Great customer service and great salesmanship. What I didn't realize and I’m not sure if Ty was aware of my needs, but I wanted a vape with a screen so that I could keep track of the battery life because the Novo Master only has an LED indicator. On my way out, Ty asked me to leave a review if I had the time since I was so adamant that I enjoyed my experience. I was waiting to see how my second visit went before I took a half hour out of my busy day to help bump up their reviews! I’m taking the time to write a very detailed review.. that is the type of person that I am.. I can look at numbers, but I can also see the bigger picture. I wanted a screen with details. The Novo Master just wasn't for me and I didn't realize this until I was miles away, having left my other vape at home, I opened the package because I was really needing some nicotine! I went back to the store as soon as I had the time on February 24th to see if they would be able to just exchange the device and I would pay the difference. They were very nice about it and Zackary called someone on the phone who had the authority to make such decisions. It was relayed that there was no "buyers remorse" BUT they did offer me a 15% discount on the Novo 5. I purchased the Novo 5 and left Zackary a 15% tip because I felt obligated to do so as their POS promoted me for the option leading me to believe that they are paid on a tip system. Now that I think of this... I’m not sure that its the case. I don't know for sure, but I would think a clerk at a vape shop would earn an hourly wage that would meet for exceed the requirements of Arizona labor laws. Unless they earn their wages on a tip system just like bartenders and servers, where I see the need to leave a 20-25% tip on the order to cover the labor. So long story short, I walked out of the vape shop feeling like I really didn't get much of a discount or that they cared to make things right for an upset customer. The retail cost of the Novo 5 was $33.99. The price of the SMOK Novo Master kit was $28.99. Was this one star review worth a Novo Master kit retailed for $28.99? Like I said before... I’m a numbers guy and obviously know how to run my own business as I am very successful and I wouldn't be able to achieve that if I had poor customer service skills, but I can also see the bigger picture and it was a loss for Redstar Vapor today."
