"The worst experience with insurance I have ever had in my life. They split out my policies between many sub agencies in farmers, not a big deal per se, but then I had to manage the paperwork on a yearly basis to keep them updated. Every year I would get a cancelation notice on my umbrella for not supplying supporting coverage documentation, hello, this is the job of the Agent not me. Any time I tried to get ahold of an agent in the office, I got voicemail, and or the answering service, with the note someone would get back with me, and no one ever did on the first 3 or 4 attempts. For two years it was like this. I would get better response with email, but in no way was that timely, generally days would go by before any kind of response. When I got in, rates were ok, not great but ok. then they jacked up like 40% the first year, then almost 80% the next, so I had to move, and that is another nightmare. They screwed up the policies when they were setup, and one of them didn't have my name on it even though I am the one that set it up and was paying for it, so when I canceled all the policies, moving to another agency, I could not cancel that policy. I had to get my wife to take time off of her job, to get it taken care of, and since this took an extra couple of weeks, they charged me for that time, instead of cancelation as of the date of all my other policies and when I had coverage with another company.. When we brought this to their attention, he had the audacity and crude humor to state that they would not be refunding the difference, and 'good luck'. Worst experience ever. Edit in response. Bruce lets be honest here. After the initial interaction to get set up, your office has rarely been timely, and it always took multiple contacts to get a response. This year, you have absolutely not responded to all of my contact requests. In dec and jan i left 4 or 5 messages with your answering service because your office never answers. None of those messages were ever responded to. I finally got a response by emailing you. As for the documentation, you said i needed to provide for proof of coverage... i never provided a thing. All of the coverage was by farmers. All i had to do was pole you and remind you to provide it to the sub company. Nothung from me all from you, but not done till i lit a fire under you to take care of it. As for one of many polices i set up in my name, yes, i missed that one didn't have it on it. That was your mistake in the first place. But i notified you all policies needed to be canceled on the 8th of feb.. and you made me jump through hoops to get this one canceled and make a few extra dollars. Very poor customer service and an extremely poor company representation on your part."
