"It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to a place I can actually give 5 stars on the entire experience. The food here is excellent! This is some real good Mexican authentic food and this is coming from a Mexican! Every single plate we got was so good. The steak, good. Enchiladas bomb . Com! Everything was so good! Even the Pacifico in bottle was good and that’s rare. Super fresh! Ethan was our server and dude was on it! Plus the place itself is full of art and it’s a nice view inside!"

"Came here on a Wednesday afternoon around noon. The place was pretty busy, but we didn't have to wait to be seated. Ordered from their happy hour menu, which is from 11am-3pm. I ordered the Durango Burrito ($14.79) and my husband got the Grande Burrito with shredded chicken ($14.79). We didn't have to wait long for our food and it came out piping hot! Had to let mine cool off for a minute and everything tasted nice. The grande burrito definitely lived up to its name as well, and was really good! We enjoyed our meal and our server was really nice and attentive... Very interesting atmosphere as well! Having it right across from the training fields in Peoria, made it really convenient after watching some spring training action!"

"We have come to abuelos a couple of times. We enjoy having a nicer atmosphere Mexican restaurant, with slightly upscale servers (and a little pricier to go with). Our servers have been attentive, friendly, professional. The food is good, though the portions are not as big as some Mexican restaurants. Chips and salsa are great. I had the Durango burrito, husband had the enchiladas, we would both order these again."

"Great ambiance when you walk inside, vibrant colors and photos on the walls. The salsa trio is good, not spicy at all. Hubbs had a pork dish that looked more like steak medallions and the flavor was amazing. I had the shrimp fajita salad, unfortunately there was a wierd sauce on the shrimp, when spices would've sufficed. The taco salad was smothered in cheese and didn't look too appetizing, taste was ok. The food could've used more flavor with less cheese sauce or wierd sauces in general. Hibiscus rita was AMAZING, better than the el jefe! Staff was friendly with tentative wait staff and bussers."
