"This small dog-friendly municipal park, located in the northern part of Sandpoint, has much to offer, including a playground for children and a kiosk for picnickers. Concrete paths sandwich the park on its east and west sides, and trash cans are placed at the entrances on Spruce and Hickory. There is also a portable toilet at the Hickory Street entrance. Parking facilities are limited to the shoulders of the two streets, and access to the park can be difficult in the winter when snow berms block the entrances; in addition, snow is not regularly removed from the paths. What's special about the Hickory Street Park are its large open lawn and a little hill that is topped with an oak tree. The slope is just right for pint-sized sledders and skiers."
