"Beautiful view! Loved stopping for a picnic lunch. Nice beach, and playground for the kiddos."
"This place is amazing! It's such a nice beach spot and has the great pavilion. There's a little dock you can jump off and into the water. It's super cool to see all the boats lined up and coming/leaving the peir. You could easily spend multiple hours here."
"Free parking. Gorgeous scenery. Decent bathrooms. Pretty nice beach. Paved path. Benches. Mini Statue of Liberty. But difficult to move in the water due to the prolific waves from passing boats (Can be fun, though). Tiny dead fish skeletons floating on the surface. Lots of bird feces so bring beach shoes. No dogs allowed."
"I had the opportunity to drive from Fernie, Canada to Standpoint, and it was a memorable journey. One of the highlights along the way was Hugh Lake, which boasts a picturesque beach and a sprawling playground area. The lake also offers boating options, which I highly recommend trying. However, to ensure a smooth experience, it's best to book your boating adventure in advance as availability can be limited. Aside from the natural beauty of Hugh Lake, the adjacent area has even more to offer. There is a delightful downtown area nearby, filled with quaint shops and charming attractions. Exploring this area is a must, and it provides a pleasant change of pace from the outdoor activities. Overall, Fernie to Standpoint was a fantastic drive, with Hugh Lake and its stunning beach and playground, the vibrant downtown area brimming with great restaurants, and the clean and inviting walking areas. It's a destination that offers a little bit of everything and a fantastic experience for visitors."
"Absolutely beautiful. This is my favorite park ever. I drive 1.5 hours just to spend time here. It's clean. It's a safe place to be. I can relax and let the kids run around."
