"We loved our private training with Devin! I highly recommend going to the orientation to get a feel for which program fits your needs and to ask all your questions. We have reactivity issues to address, and speaking with Devin gave me a lot of confidence in his expertise and how Positive Pets could work with us, especially with learning how to build confidence and trust between me and my dog and then maintaining progress and accountability once private training was finished. In our 6 training sessions, we addressed a lot topics. Devin gave us new tools, we’d put those lessons into practice at home, and come back for feedback and new concepts. A lot of the time was spent not just working my dog but teaching me the how and why behind his behavior and how to work with it. The undivided attention made a significant difference in how we progressed - with the personalized guidance, I have a lot more confidence in handling my dog, and I've definitely seen improvements in his behavior. Ultimately, I’m most excited to have the support system in place that comes after - getting some training reps in with the distraction class, followed by advanced off leash and specialty classes. "There is no way I can say enough great things about Positive Pets. We have been training with them since 2015 and have had three Labrador retrievers complete their Stay & Train program and complete many of their speciality classes. It is not easy having 3 exuberant Labs in your home and it took top notch training to make them the amazing dogs they are today. "My husband and I adopted a GSxBC puppy this past summer. We promptly enrolled her in the Puppy Preschool program at the Boise site. Shadow learned so much about her basic obedience and got wonderful socialization at their program. I was very impressed with the guidance we were able to receive. Since starting class at just the orientation we were able to integrate recommendations that made a huge difference with her potty training, and in house behavior. Over the 6 weeks Shadow learned her basic commands, and loves to practice them. I would highly recommend this class to anyone with a puppy! We will for sure be utilizing their program again, and as Shadow grows up will be looking into other programs for her like private training just to advance her knowledge and skills.
