Vista Terrace Apartments

"These apartments are very "Value", your dollar will go pretty far here but don't expect luxury. It has a wall AC and radiant heaters in each room, the summers will be on the warm side but you can get a portable ac to help. Maintenance is very prompt and they often fix things preemptively or remodel things like floors. The walls aren't paper thin but you can hear your direct neighbor if they raise their voice, but other than the occasional movie I rarely hear my neighbors doing anything (I am on the second floor so I can't comment on footsteps). It has direct access to one of the only decent bus lines, is 2 blocks from the grocery store, and Vista is a much easier road to use than similar roads like state street, chinden, eagle, broadway, etc. It's close enough to the elementary school that kids could walk. Biking is mostly a no at the moment as this area fundamentally lacks critical connections near the river and the city blueprint is not prioritizing anything more than sharrows in the area. There are at least some painted bike lanes on latah and shoshone, and the planned rose hill improvement should get some level of connection set up. Occasionally I have had to hold onto my trash for a few days since a neighbor has thrown an entire couch or something in the dumpster but other than that I haven't had any issues. I have lived here for 3 years. I did the entire first year without a car. Primarily using the bus to go downtown."

"Receptionist who answered the phone was extremely, and unnecessarily unfriendly and rude. Customer service is clearly not her forté. Do the world a favor and get into another line of work, honey.
