"Been living here for what will be 2 years in April. Would rather go back to living in the barracks on base, honestly. I hope you have a good renters insurance plan or premium because our apartment flooded twice. Once from above from construction and once from below from a sewage backup. We had straight up crap water seeping through the floors (see picture attached from when it started to come up). Also had a mold breakout that they just painted over…. So who knows what you will get in the one you move in to. Do you like jet noise?? Youre going to love it here. Especially since Gowen (the ANG base at the airport) is getting F-16’s, so the noise is just going to go up from the already busy commercial flights that fly directly overhead only a couple hundred feet. Not sure how they got away with zoning this as residential and not commercial. Had to get rid of my controlled flame grill too, so if you like to grill you are out of luck moving here! NOT worth the price. They are charging us 2,360 dollars as a base price and the pool was closed most of the time so not worth the amenities either…go and get yourself a detached house 3bed 2bath rental for hundreds of dollars cheaper. When I asked why they upped our rent from the previous year, they said it was to cover utility costs. What an insult to our intelligence as we clearly pay utilities separately from the base rent (sewage, trash, water, the electricity to power the parking spots). You will be paying a separate power bill as well from Idaho Power as well that averages 50 dollars in summer and 100 dollars in winter if you are good at conserving energy. Speaking of parking spots, good luck finding one. Had to park on the road (E Grand Forest) most of the time. Of the many bad things about here, the good one is location if you commute or work at micron. Don't fall for the “upgraded” units or the view or the amenities. They are just asking waaaaay to much for what it is. 2,400 dollars?? What a scam, how foolish of me to live here. I would pay 1,100 dollars tops to resign here."
"Leasing office deduct whole deposit and when I asked the reason the leasing manger mention that the amount was deducted for cleaning service. I have cleaned the whole apartment before vacating but they deduct $350 deposit as cleaning charges and now asking me to pay an extra $12. When I asked leasing office to show me pictures as a proof that the apartment required cleaning they didn't share any pictures and told me that it's standard charge they put irrespective of cleaning required or not. Please do not rent an apartment in Columbia village. Leasing offices team has no empathy towards residents and it feel like I have been robbed. Look at pictures and decide for yourself, 1 Bed apartment has carpet just in bedroom and they have charged $90 for carpet cleaning. $150 cleaning fees extra for cleaning what my soul?"
"I fell in love with the views, amenities, unit layout and the community. The location is beautiful and convenient, the staff are friendly, professional and quick to respond. And I believe the pricing is very reasonable for the quality. I’m new to the area but I’m excited to explore Boise as my new home."
"The location is beautiful, the views are the best in the valley. This complex just needs to reappropriate in a few areas, and badly. The pool and/or hot tub almost always look like this (see photo). Yuck. It’s disappointing to be paying for amenities that you don’t get to enjoy as promised. There is no easy way to access restrooms from the pool. Every single door to the leasing office/clubhouse is locked, except the front entrance. The clubhouse is also more of a leasing office. If they have a showing, they will usher the residents who live there out. I though this very odd. I have never seen this in any other multi-family housing community. Garbage. There are no recycling receptacles. And there are not enough trash receptacles. Most days, dumpsters are piled up high, overflowing, with garbage also stacked outside of the receptacle areas, and on the landscaping. It literally looks trashy. My best suggestion for management here is to install more dumping receptacles, or get recycling. Not sure how they managed to get out of that Boise City requirement. This one is not anyone’s fault, just part of the location. The constant flying over of fighter jets from the nearby airforce base - unreal. Deafening, in fact. The neighborhood is safe and friendly. Lots of people out walking frequently. The grocery store is a five minute walk. Hiking trails all around. Decent gym. Amazon hub. Dog wash station. I think a carwash parking stall? Decent parking most of the time. The location is beautiful, the views are the best in the valley. The view from the pool would be worth a million dollars, but there are 6-8 foot tall dead weeds lurking in the way. This complex just needs to reappropriate in the above areas. And it would just blossom. I would change my rating from a 3/5 stars to a 5/5."
