"if I could give more than 5 stars I would! brought in my berretta apx a1because I had stripped screws on my red dot and they projected a week before I had my pistol back, but I called in and asked if they could expedite it because I was going outta town and I never leave town without my firearm and they had no problem doing so. great prices, great workers. definitely will recommend you guys too family and friends for all there firearm needs!"
"Great work, very professional and priced well. Matt communicated with me throughout the process and kept me informed and updated. One of the pistols I had work done on presented a couple of issues when it came to mounting the optic and Matt worked hard to figure it all out. He ended up asking me to return the pistol so he could do some fine tuning and he did not charge me a cent for the additional work. Will definitely be using Matt and BGW for future projects. Overall extremely happy with the work done on both of my 1911's. Great job lads."
"Just picked up my Turnbull 1886 from Matt at BGW Gunsmithing, Cerakote & Engraving in Nampa. My old eyes couldn’t make out the bead on the factory front sight so I had Matt install a Burris Fastfire sight on a Turnbull Fastfire mount (see pics). I could not be happier! As one can imagine, because this required the drill and tap of two holes in the receiver, I didn’t want just any gunsmith to work on this quality firearm. I took my time researching and through a friend of a friend was referred to Matt. When I went to visit Matt, it was clear that he knew what was in front of him. He even knew the entire Turnbull history of case hardening. I was impressed with his knowledge. He eased any concerns I might have had and I was very comfortable letting him work on my rifle. I was not disappointed! He explained to me how he did it and the steps he took to protect my rifle. He truly treated it as if it were his own! The care, quality, craftsmanship and professionalism he displayed while in the care of my rifle was unbelievable and so much appreciated. Additionally, after Matt shared with me all the extra time and care he took to install the mount I felt his time was worth more than price he initially quoted me. When I offered him more money, he said no. He said that he quoted a price to me and he was going to honor it. How refreshing, classy and appreciated in a world where it seems customer service and a person’s word is hard to find. It goes without saying that Matt and BGW Gunsmithing will be my go-to gunsmith and I won’t hesitate for a minute to refer anyone to him!"
"Matt at BGW does great work. He is now my go-to gunsmith. While I have a gunsmith closer, I would rather drive a little further for competent work. Here is an example of a recent project: took a police trade-in Sig P229 and turned it into a thing of beauty! It is hard to believe that is the same gun. I'll be taking Matt all of my gunsmith and cerakote projects from now on!"
"After I shot a pistol with an RMR sight I started looking for a gunsmith that could do a slide cut on my PX4. Picking out a target at night with iron sights is not all that easy ... but having a red dot would be a 100% improvement. In my search on Google I asked for a quote from a reputable gunsmith. The quote was beyond my budget and additionally would require mailing in the slide. I started looking again and found Matt at BGW Gunsmithing who was beyond reasonable. When I picked up the PX4 the professionalism was amazing and the finish production perfect"
