"Very nice park during the daytime, but at night I wouldn't recommend it. The gazebo (when clear of homeless encampment) is super nice with a tiny pond next to it is a great location for photos. The park overall has lots of great photo spots throughout the year. The playground itself is very large, well kept and not far from BBQ table areas. Tons of shade and the Arkansas river is near by. Depending on where you park, near the turnabout, there's a small zoo with a great staff that's free if you want to see the local wildlife. Definitely worth a tour or two. Also a ton of Pokemon gyms in the area with lots of stops. Lastly, at night... I work nearby the locations and it's a whole different environment. Firearms are discharged a lot, creepy and sketchy people use the park for their activities at night. A noticeable amount of crime or fleeing crime has turned the area at night into a real "at your own risk" spot. And with the lack of bright lights it will likely continue."
"Neat place. Nice walkways and Kansas Wildlife to see"
"Great park when I was a kid and still a great park now that I bring my kids to!!!"
"Super cool little hidden gem in wichita. We stopped by after feeding time and there was a gentleman there so we got to talk with him about the animals. It's free!!! And a great way to spend some time on a weekend (or weekday)"
"This is a nice little park with restrooms and a water area where kids were playing when I visited. Great for a easy walk or to just relax. I visited because I was interested in checking out the Mini Stonehenge Astrological Calendar. It’s small but it was still neat to look at."
