"Great with the kids. My daughter still asked to go back after graduating."
"We had such great experience at caravel. My son was so sad the day he graduated from the program. We started out with him not wanting to go to him not wanting to leave. And till this day we pass by the office area and he still wishes he could go again…. But this program definitely helped him move on to community based help. When before he did not want to leave the house and interact with others, he is now interacting and looking forward to sharing his interest with others."
"What a waste of time just trying to get seen. 2 months down the drain after back and forth of trying to get the documentation aligned for my 3 y/o son to be evaluated to get ABA treatment at Caravel. I was the one that needed to be proactive with the case manager who would take weeks to get back to me after I emailed reports. Initially I submitted my sons official Autism Level 2 diagnosis, then was told that the document was NOT accepted. So I contact St. Lukes in Twin Falls that did his official testing and diagnosis for more in depth testing results, again those documents were NOT accepted. I was told to do a medical release for the case manager to get what she needed for documentation. My most recent call she stated that Caravel will NOT accept the type of evaluation and testing that lead to my sons official diagnosis because it did not qualify as an "evaluation diagnostic" and she pushed to have Caravel to do it for me. SOOOO LET ME SAY THIS AGAIN, my son went through several rounds of testing with Dr.'s at St. Lukes (A HOSPITAL) who gave their official diagnosis which in turn lead to him being approved for Katie Beckett BY THE STATE OF IDAHO, but Caravel would NOT approve it as an "official medical diagnosis" but they said they could do it themselves (A THERAPY OFFICE). I called another ABA therapy location, and they accepted his documentation within one day and my son is already scheduled to be evaluated for treatment there. We all know that early intervention therapy for kids on the autism spectrum is critical....... and Caravel set us back 2 months for lack of proficiency and slow communication rates."
"My wife spent 3 weeks back and fourth with the staff at Caravel. She explained our kiddos' needs repeatedly, and was assured repeatedly ( by the staff) that they were the choice. We filled out all the forms and had to get a special letter from the school because the therapy offered was gonna conflict with school times, we jumped through the hoops and took off work and pulled our kid out of school early to go to an appointment with the staff for an evaluation and make a plan to get our kiddos the help he needs. Well it was the shortest meeting/evaluation ever... as a matter of fact it took longer to get our temperatures taken and put on the mask they require. We get in the room and are asked "what kind of help are you looking to get your kiddo?", after briefly talking about our kiddos needs again, we are immediately met with what felt like excuses ... we don't have staff , we have a lot of fragile items in the facility , we usually only work with kids between 2 and 4.... ok thanks for your time... at this point our kiddo is way too sensory overloaded because the facilty is noisy and had to sit in a tiny room full of tension. All this for literally nothing but to waste hours of time doing paperwork and phone calls, waste gas driving an hour, for nothing. The needs and behaviors and all the necessary information was passed along before this meeting . But clearly they like to look in your face and tell you they are not capable of doing what they originally claimed they could do. In my opinion this is not an ABA facilty , seems more like an overpriced daycare."
