CVS

"I will try to be brief but the service here at CVS is horrible. The only reason we use them is because our health care provider says we have to. This has happened numerous times but I will give one example. I needed a perscription refilled and called it in a week before I ran out. I was told on 1/22/2024 that it would be ready on 1/23/2024. I never trust them because they are never ready the day they say that they will be so I waited 5 days until I called their automated system and was told the perscription was ready for pick up on 1/23/2024. I went into pick it up on 1/29/2024 and to my surprise (ha ha) it was not ready. Mind you I had already received a text from them that day saying it was ready for pickup. I got to the drive through window and was told I did not have anything ready. They said if I could come inside they could try and get it done quickly. They had no excuse as to why I was told it was ready and had also received a text from them telling me the same. Figuring they would hurry faster I wanted to just stay at the drive through window and wait for them but decided it would be selfish for the people in line to have to wait. If this was a one time thing I would not be writing this review but this happens more often than not. I am trying to communicate with our large health care provider to allow us to fill perscriptions where we would like to, so I can avoid the numerous trips I have to make down Fairview Ave in Boise."

"What kind of Pharmacy is closed on the weekends!!??? My kid had to go for days without their script. Wouldn't have run out if they would have dispensed the requested amount the first time. The employees are very nice nice but this is the worst Pharmacy/business I have ever had to deal with."

"I was trying to transferring my medications to a pharmacy that was more convenient to pickup & my prescriptions. Due to there mistake of writing down the wrong number to transfer them, I ran out of a prescription it took a week to do that transfer. On a different occasion CVS had completely forgotten to refill a couple of prescriptions of mine not sure why that happened. I would not recommend the CVS pharmacy for filling your prescriptions."

"Really terrible customer service! I had to call multiple times to find out that they were closed on a regular Saturday due to no staff. I have a prescription I needed transfer to another non CVS Pharmacy because they are out of stock and are going to take at least a week to get it in. This has happened before I do not know why they do not have stock on a normal asthma inhaler this is nothing exotic. I found another Pharmacy in town that has plenty in stock I was going to transfer the prescription so I could get it picked up today. And they are closed! There is no excuse for this kind of terrible customer service in this day and age. This is the Boise location on Fairview and Cole. While the staff has been nice when I have actually dealt with them this is the second time this has happened where oh yeah we have to order it we're out of stock really? Why are you out of stock? Everybody else in town has it. I am so done with this Pharmacy I'm going to transfer all my prescriptions to a non CVS location and I am finished. Terrible phone system and their hours are not the best as well. But I simply do not understand why something simple is out of stock and they have to order it why are you running out? Why don't you have enough staff? Corporate needs to fix this ASAP where they are going to be losing customers in droves which they probably are which could explain why maybe people don't want to go to work. Absolutely terrible terrible customer service will never use again. Tell your friends if you want things filled on time don't go there. I also gave them more than a week's notice for when I would run out so there was no reason they couldn't have had this fixed easily. Their phone system also does not jive with reality telling me it will be ready tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.. I go to the store oh it's not in stock it's on its way we had to order it. Great communication."

"I called to see about hours for New Years and to ask about refilling a few days early due to holiday travel plans as I had been told to call my insurance. I did that and they told me should not be a problem. Called CVS n due to their system it wasn't working and gal said they would call me back. No call. I also asked about holiday hours and gal couldn't tell me if they were open on the 30th or not. Definitely will be letting our Prescription manager know."
