"This pediatrician has nice bedside manner but is egotistical and ill-informed. He was the pediatrician after my son’s birth. At follow up visits,I expressed concern about my son’s appearance, looking premature(a little fetus(y) for lack of better description). He said he believed my son was born a month premature. This was impossible. I spoke with my OB who confirmed that was impossible. He was definitely full term. When presented with facts from myself and OB(we had early ultrasounds),he said he still believed my son was a month premature. My son had feeding difficulties that Dr Yu was unhelpful with. Feeling unheard and disrespected,I moved practices. By the time my son was 4 months old,it was apparent something was wrong with his development. He was eventually diagnosed through genetic testing to have Angelman Syndrome. I view Dr Yu as a Dr that perceives he learned everything he needed to learn when he graduated. He was persistent in his wrong opinion when given facts that opposed it. If bedside manner is the most important quality you’re looking for in a doctor,he could be a good fit."

"Dr.Yu is absolutely incredible. I am so blessed that he is our pediatrician for our daughter. He was recommended to us by the neonatal specialist at the NICU in Overland Park. He stays up to date on all research and studies going on. So you know the advice and counsel you are being given is with the most up-to-date medical practices. It will genuinely be sad when we have to move."

"Dr Yu has cared for all three of my children since they were born. My oldest is 17 years old now. Dr Yu always takes the time to listen to us and is genuinely interested in us and our concerns. He is very knowledgeable and always has a lot of information for any questions we have. We never feel rushed, and really like Dr Yu not only as a person, but as a person, too."

"Absolutely LOVE Dr. Yu. First, their office is clean and inviting and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Anytime I call the nurse line, I get answer back same day. Dr. Yu was our pediatrician starting since birth of my son and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to keep him. He takes his time and answers all of our questions (even when I’m flustered and ask the same ones twice). Very good with babies. He makes sure your baby is on track weight/developmentally for YOUR baby, not off of some chart. Yes, you will normally have a long wait in the exam room (because he’s a busy man) but that’s because he gives his full attention to EVERY patient. Never once have we feel rushed because he was on a schedule. Amazing pediatrician!!!"

"We have been with Dr. Yu for almost 13 years for all of our kids. We are extremely happy. He is caring and always on top of everything. He calls us at home when we call and have concerns. I read most of the comments and while I agree that during the years there have been some rude staff and long waits (extremely busy office), Dr. Yu himself is awesome and pays attention. He never rushed us out and addresses every question and concern. I just hope there can be a better scheduling management to make sure the wait is not as bad. Most bad reviews are related to wait time or rude staff. Not fair to the Dr himself but I understand though that for many it is the whole experience including the office itself."
