"I went in for a consult with Dr. Wilson. This took place in the LOBBY for about 10 min. We discussed cost and after care and that's about it. He had not much else to say. And then they proceeded to charge me $200!!!!!!!!!!! Where I come from, consults are usually FREE! I'm sorry, but you're time isn't worth any more than my time that I had to take to come talk to you. VERY disappointed in this place and not the first time. Won't ever go back if I can help it. This world has turned into a greedy free for all."
"We couldn't get into our own vet until 430pm. Unfortunately my dog was gravely ill. Med Vet was so attentive, kind, and affordable. I just assumed they were too expensive, but it wasn't any higher than our regular vet. The vet and and entire staff were so kind during such an upsetting moment. They got us in immediately. I wished I had called them first looking back. Instead of begging our own vet with many calls that day."
"The staff was wonderful. We took our 10 week old kitten in for emergency treatment . During this pandemic it's hard for everyone having to hand over your pet to strangers at the door and not be with them. When the Vet confirmed what we already knew they offer to let me come inside to be with our little girl as they eased her into her forever sleep. That alone shows that they fully understand and empathize with their clients. Through the years of us taking our pets with medical emergencies to Mission Med Vet, they have always been kind considerate and have treated with the utmost care. If your fur baby needs immediate attention, bring them here. RIP Little Dotty."
"Our Dr handled our situation so well!! She was full of info and knew what was best for the dog. Didn't over charge and was easy to work with. Very patient and understanding. Will definitely be back."
"I took my dog there for an emergency c-section. The doctor was kind and informative and quoted me $2800 - $3500 for the c-section and spay. They said they wouldn't call the surgeon in until they received a $2500 deposit. I understand this and just wanted my dog healthy. After about an hour the doctor called and said that after they opened her up they saw it was worse than they expected and that her uterus had ruptured and 3 puppies were just basically floating. This means bacteria had gotten into her ruptured uterus and she was septic. They would have to remove her uterus, clean her out and give her antibiotics. Recovery would long. To do this, they needed an additional $5500 on top of my $2500 deposit or euthanize her. I had to make a decision right now because she was on the operating room table. So, in a kind way, he said "I can save your dogs life, but only if you give me a total of $8000". They were going to charge $2800-$3500 to open her up, remove the pups, clean her out, spay her and stitch her back up. So, removing her uterus and putting her on antibiotics was $4500 more? I am confused! I can understand maybe $1000 more for the doctors time, but $4500 more?! In the moment, I was devastated and couldn't think of anything other than I don't have $8000 to give. As I cried, we told the doctor we could't afford the surgery. He told us that he had 2 live puppies that we need to pick up. When I got there, we were immediately told we needed to take care of the balance due. I had no idea why I even had a balance. They opened her up then euthanized her and that cost me a total of $2593. They brought me the puppies with some powdered milk (with incorrect directions on the amount to feed). No copy of the bill or credit card receipt. Just UN-fed newborn puppies that were starving and cold. It was one of the worst days of my life. My sweet, 2 year old girls life should have been valued. I'm not sure how a person can get in the business of saving animals lives and then tell me they CAN, but WON'T save her without an extra $4500. So sad."
