"My kids were new to the school and while kindergarten was great for my son, my daughter came home crying most days. In 4th grade she got bullied by a group of girls and after talking with the teacher AND principal it continued. I don't feel these individuals took enough action to stop the issues. At one point my daughter talked with the principal on an issue and was threatened to be suspended even though she literally did nothing to deserve it. I did everything I could over the summer to ensure my children will not attend this school again."
"I personally loved this school. Some of its features weren't so good. In my opinion I didn't like the lunch. So I ate PB and J for the rest of the year. All of the teachers were nice. Some are strict but sometimes really nice! Our EX- principal Dr. Kupka was the BEST principal ever. She's our EX because she retired :( . All I have to say is you will learn good at this school. I'm going off to middle school. Good bye :D"
"This is a great school with great staff and teachers. You would be hard pressed to find a more friendly environment. These people do not understand what they are talking about. People are quick to write negative but forget the positive Teachers had nothing to do with the incident involving the blind student. That was a contracted bus driver who took the cane away and that was wrong but don't blame the teacher or the school. The student received the cane from the school district so before you say anything negative you need to review the facts. I would agree that the Driver should not have taken the cane away but then again why was the student hitting others with the cane? Would you allow another student to hit a student with a stick? I think we can all agree the answer is no."
"In my opinion, the person that took the child’s cane away from him should have charges brought against them for child abuse. This is his only means of travel and movement in a room or wherever. In addition, the person that did this should be blindfolded with a material that would not harm but made sure that they cannot see and be given the noodle cane to get around and see just how difficult it would be. The child goes by sound and feel of the cane. How inconsiderate the person that did this action is unacceptable. The principle of the school should be fired and charges be held against him to for the approval of this action."
"How many teachers are there at this school? How many staff members? You mean to tell me that ALL of those people are SO STUPID that they couldn't come up with a better solution than to take away the blind kid's cane? Heck, I can think of three options off the top of my head- 1). Cover the cane with foam (or heck, even cutting up the noodle might work!) or something soft so the boy can still use it; 2). Have the boy's parents drive him to school until things on the bus are resolved; or 3). HAVE a freakin' conversation with everyone about the proper use of a cane!!! Three solutions, and I'm not even a licensed "educator!" If that's the IQ level of this school's teachers and staff I certainly hope it is shut down as soon as possible."
