The 4700

"I loved my stay here…until I moved out! I am thankful I did not leave a review the day I was going to give them a 4 star review because we received our final move out quote of $660 after our deposit today. We spent close to 5 hours cleaning the apartment, base boards, rooms, bathrooms,mopping etc. Just for them to pick apart any minor cleaning that was not done including our cleaning of the baseboards that we got on our hands and knees with rags and cleaned. Of course a professional will need to come out after a resident cleans, this should be a given! Cleaning has to be done before the next resident moves in anyways, our apartment also was not clean when we got into it and didn’t even have outlet plates and had white paint on the wood floors - so again why are we being charged for something that wasn’t even done for us? I had some pet damages, we had a professional come out and fill them/sand them down to make it easier on the maintenance team instead we got charged $400 for the damages. They critiqued the professional we had come out by saying “a lot still needs to be done and shaping.” Which I found very insensitive to his work because all they needed is painted over, nothing else is wrong with the base boards and no shaping is needed. We had our water heater flood, due to lack of maintenance for 6 months by the previous management making a slab of wood come up in front of the bathroom from the damage and the apartment below us flood and we are also being charged for that. We are being charged for a cabinet that had scratches on it from the previous person who lived in this apartment, we requested this to be fixed when we first moved in with the previous management said they ordered the parts, they never did and didn’t not show up! We are being charged for this as well. I paid a $300 pet fee, this does not even go towards anything at move out. This is how they get you! If you have a pet, unless it’s an ESA I would not recommend this building. Sadly, I wanted to leave the 4700 a great review but I will be warning people of the greed and lack of management at this property in which they don’t show until after you move. Why should we have to pay for damages caused by your own maintenance team not coming out or coming out, saying they will be back and never showing before the new management team took over? Sure we got new management two months before we moved out.. that doesn’t help when we move out and have to pay all the damages that we did not cause besides pet damage! I have highly considered reporting them to the BBB as we made an effort to clean, we didn’t leave our place unclean or horrible at least $660 worth! Now we will be having to pay monthly payment to even pay this off and no understanding was given on their behalf. They could have taken our whole $250 deposit. All of these supplies are at Home Depot where they are going to spend $3 for wood piece, cut the wood and glue it for the next person and paint over the fillings I had professionally filled in when already have the white paint and get it ready for the next person to charge $1,800 a month. I’m not complaining about the fee for cleaning but the other fees are just a money grab and greed. Do yourself a favor and move somewhere else, in the end the cost isn’t worth it monthly as it isn’t “luxury” when the call box doesn’t even work correctly, we’ve only had working “management” for two months and they refuse to understand how it was before they took over making residents who moved in with Sarah pay more money in the end. If you want to get the best bang for your buck while living in an apartment and when you have to move out take your business elsewhere! There’s tons of apartments in the same price range with MORE amenities, better management and more understanding for peoples financial situation!"
