Willow Creek Apartments

"The office staff is not nice or helpful. Rebecca who has worked here for years in the office apparently but she did what she could to get me in this apartment, told me that LPN wasn’t a preferred employer for the 10% discount but she has been trying to get it changed. Somehow I got the discount because of her. When I went to renew my lease I found out she put me down as a student and when I contacted her she responded for a day and then ghosted me. When I went to pay rent the discount was no longer available until they had my student ID and class schedule. After dealing with the front, who told me LPN was a preferred employer, would give me the discount and then took it back because there is “no blanket“ for LPN’s because they only honor RN, NP, MD and DO’s. Suzanne or Susan who is supposedly the new property manager is extremely rude, refuses to give me any contact info for anyone higher than her because she states there isn’t. Nobody else in the office will give me a contact number, tell me they will take the info down and have someone call back… Suzanne or Susan is the one who calls back and it’s the same answer every time. She told me I would have to pay the full rent amount including the late fee and offered to give me 30 days to move out and break the lease. If I chose not to pay it then it would go to collections and my renters history. It does not matter that I signed a lease agreement with the student discount but the student discount was an addendum added to the actual lease. If you search Landmark Property it list an address in CA with no phone number. This has been one of the worst complexes I’ve lived in, it took them over a month to get the old washer and dryer out when I moved in. The glass doors were shattered for months before they replaced them. The locks on the door break often so anyone can get into the gated building. The gates work half the time so they are usually up allowing anyone in the gates. The residents make messes they don’t clean up. Last year during the hottest months, an old lady let a girl in our building to stay on one of the floors, she was clearly on drugs and kept asking me for things when I walked by. The only reason I moved into this apartment was for the preferred employer discount and my 2nd month of rent was free, I love the layout of the apartment and that’s it. I’m pretty sure I have black mold coming out of the bathroom sink faucet and even grew green/black moldy fuzz in the sink. When I complained, maintenance didn’t find an issue when they came. I have an autoimmune disorder so that coming out of my faucets is fantastic for my gut. You see I really didn’t want to stay here for these reasons but couldn’t pass up the discount. It makes me sad/frustrated as a healthcare worker that they don’t consider a LPN as a nurse or preferred employer."

"Don’t do it. I moved in and my first week my apartment was broken into and burglarized. Hundreds of dollars in equipment gone, some I never I even had the chance to use. Prior, Higgs and other staff told me there were security cameras everywhere. Didn’t mention my building didn’t have them. There’s also a secured door before you get to the units, but it’s propped open most of the time rendering it useless. I was also told by Higgs that she’d lived there for 10 years and NEVER heard of a break in. Turns out that was a lie, just looking at the other reviews. I filed a police report of course, they concluded there was no forced entry, but they did say they’re called to WC frequently. That was never mentioned. Either way, I just packed what was left up and moved back to my old place. Lastly, they let me out of the lease, yet refused to give back the security deposit and prorated rent. So, I took them to small claims court and I’m getting that back. Pay some extra cash, go elsewhere, and stay safe please."

"I had a scheduled showing and showed up 30 minutes before showing time. Front desk staff noticed the young lady that would be doing my showing. She had an attitude that I was earlier and told the front desk lady it is not time for her tour. This was my first impression of the staff and I was only there to tour. Whew if I was tenant I could only imagine how they are treated. I cancelled my tour. I guess it's better to know what you are walking into day 1 . So thank you."

"Ms. Higgs the leasing agent was great and my apartment was awesome but the buildings need cleaning inside and out. The doors are heavy to open in the entry and hallways. The odor is terrible in the hallway due to the nasty carpet."

"Ms Higgs has been amazing helping with finding the best apartment for myself and my son. I wasn't able to have my cashier's check on time for my move in day due to unfortunate circumstances, and she even re-wrote my lease for me to postpone my move-in by a day. I'm very grateful! And love my new apartment!"
