"Updating my review after living there for 4.5 years: -Management acts like they are on your side until you accidentally forget to pay your rent on time (7 hours late) after having a new baby. We lived there for 4.5 years and paid our rent on time EVERY month. There is no auto pay feature, no monthly statement to remind you to pay. We had to call multiple times to know how much we owed after moving to month to month. It’s unfortunate that the leasing office is allowed to hold a credit on our account for a month without telling us, but we pay our rent 7 hours late and are charged a $55 late fee without any grace. -The ventilation in the apartments is connected somehow and we had a neighbor who smoked marijuana regularly for a year. We asked management multiple times to address the situation, but were told they couldn’t do anything about it because no one else had complained about the issue. -Smoking is allowed and we had to deep clean and have an oxygen unit placed our apartment when we moved in to remove the smoke smell. They will tell you “we encourage our tenants to smoke outside.” But there is no consequence to smoking inside, so who would do that? -Parking is a HUGE problem. You will see it is a problem in nearly every review you read. If you get home past 6pm, you will park the equivalent of a block away from your apartment building. -Package/food delivery has been and will continue to be chaos. Our specific building has the sign on the side of the building that doesn’t face the parking lot. Our building didn’t have a street sign until we complained about it for TWO years. We have had multiple packages completely lost, more delivered to someone else, and many delivered to us that aren’t ours (including a brand new computer. Good thing we are honest people and delivered it to the correct person) -I have watched this apartment complex decline rapidly over the past few years and wouldn’t be surprised if it all turns into section 8 in the next few years."
"First impression lasted! I moved in as soon as my lease was up from my old place. Leasing agents are easily accessible and the Manager is always ready to assist. Quiet, clean fully functional apartments. Plus they are pet friendly and means it!"
"Barre woods should not be labeled luxury anymore. Yes, the office always answers, and repairs are fast, but, the whole complex is FULLL of problems, always.There’s foundation cracks everywhere, pipes freeze and break all the time, mold infestations, mice infestations, you name it, and the complex itself is just OLD. I have been put out of my apartment since December 25th (Christmas) because of a main sprinkler pipe break in my room. I asked if I had to pay rent and they said yes. Full rent. So I paid without even thinking. Now, I am STILL out of my apartment and moving out due to a big mold problem in my apartment. I asked for a refund on my rent that I PREPAID for the month.. and they said no because it’s not their fault either. I don’t know how the city even passed this complex when it was built. They have water and sprinkler pipes running through the EXTERIOR walls. OF COURSE they are going to freeze and break. This has happened MULTIPLE times in the past. If you look at a review from a woman 4 years ago, this exact same thing happened to her. If you all know there’s MASSIVE flaws in the complexes and it puts the renters at risk.. why not just tear it down and build actual new luxury apartments and save these problems? I would not have been so angry if you all would have just done the correct thing and given me my money back. I suggested you all go so many people until now. I suggest before renting here you ask if your apartment has had a history of mice, mold, pipe breaks, etc. The way they are trying to clean the mold out of my apartment is just by scrubbing it off the wall. It grew back the next day when they did that. DUH! Now my neighbors had to evacuate their apartment due to a mold and mice infestation. ALL of these things could have been avoided if action was taken right after the flooding happened in each apartment. We pay EXTREMELY too much money for there to be a lack of anything in this matter. AND THEN not to be refunded FULLY for not even living in the apartment anymore. EXTREMELY upset with whoever makes the final decisions here. Having to file a case report for my money back that you LEGALLY owe me is crazy. The lease says no where that you don’t refund or prorate when the apartment is NOT livable. My apartment has not been livable since December 25th. There is water damage everywhere in my apartment. I warned the front office that mold was going to grow and nobody listened. This IS on Barre Woods “luxury” apartments."
"Honestly I am not happy living here at all when we moved in the apartment was a disaster. We have lived here since july and I find myself having to get maintenance out almost every week our dryer completely shorted out and was literally sparking, our blinds only turn 1 way for our sliding glass door, parking is absolutely ridiculous if you work past 5 your gonna have to walk half of the complex, Security is little to none, and last of all about 5 minutes into our showers the water starts to go ice cold it was fine in the summer but now that it’s getting colder we barley have any hot water at all. Definitely will not be renewing my lease here"
"Well first I want to start off by saying the location is too notch. Being so close to the freeway and a QT for late night snacks is top tier. Secondly maintenance is really on top of taking care of any minor or major issues that may arise; very impressed with the professionalism and the great communication between tenants and staff. Great hosted events, as well as how clean the public facilities are. Overall great place to live out of and work out of being a stay at home employee."
