"lived here for a year before needing to move for work but would have stayed longer, no complaints any maintenance requests were handled same day, never heard my neighbors, they also have security that drives around the neighborhood at night. great complex and cares about their tenants 10/10"
"I wish I could recommend this apartment complex. They're labeled a luxury apartment, but that's not the case. At the time of this review, I've lived here for nine months. My issues are many: 1. Move-In: The apartment wasn't clean when I moved in. The carpet was dirty, stained, and contained food, and push-pins from the previous tenant. - Shelves falling off the wall in the closet. - Broken Blinds throughout the apartment. - Towel rack in bathroom falling off the wall. - Bathroom Sink Plug missing and never replaced When I met with the property manager I was told that unfortunately my apartment fell through the cracks for cleaning and maintenance. I was offered to move to another apartment. The change fee was waived, but I’d have to pay $60 more a month for an apartment that was in worse shape as my current apartment. I declined. 2. Holes in the floor. The sub-flooring contained several holes in the cement and even after they hired a crew to fix it there is still is cracking and breaking of the concrete subfloor. 3. The apartment is on its third dishwasher. Which still has issues with periodically leaking. 4. HVAC froze at least twice, and heat sequencer went out and filled the apartment with a terrible burning fish smell that could have been prevented with normal HVAC maintenance 5. Holes in the carpet and carpet coming up at the transitions. They tried to repair the carpet by stretching an already older carpet, but it still comes up. 6. Bubbling flooring in the kitchen. 7. Stoop under front door separated from the bulding. 8. For the first 5 months the stairs going up were unsafe. At one point a stone step flipped up, completely disconnected from the front of the staircase. 9. Terrible water pressure, sometimes it just dribbles out. 10. When service tickets are submitted they often closed before the issue is resolved so the close rate looks better. 11. After replacing the windows the maintenance crew left giant shards of glass in the carpet 12. Closet doors are wobbly and don’t have handles to open and close."
"If I could give zero stars I would. The Reserve at Barry was so poorly maintained. If you want to deal with terrible communication, endless problems inside and outside of your home, rent here! Everything was such poor quality and to make matters worse, maintenance never properly fixed anything! The AC in my unit was broken the entire summer during a heat wave reaching almost 90 degrees inside. The Reserve refused to even look at it! On top of that, the women in the leasing office purposely charged us for belongings we specifically returned before moving out. This entire company is a joke and they are extremely unaccommodating towards their tenants!"
"The upgraded units are a joke. The vents and ducts work are rusting with a quick fix of painting them over to hide the rust. Door hinges are also covered in rust. The stove is old and crusty. Living here is fine but definitely can find better units else where. The leasing staff constantly "leave" the office early for staff bonding events that are clearly just an excuse to go watch cheifs games. Not sure why they can just say they are going to leave the office for watching sports. The maintenance crew does a good job on site, honestly would prefer if they managed the leasing office as they are way better at responding and consistency. The pools does not open until a month and half into the summer. The leasing office also does not have a mail slot to pay bills if the online payment website is down or your account get locked for "updates to website". Upon move out forget getting your deposit back, they will provide you a long list of items that needed repair that were not discussed during you move out walk through of the unit. The leasing staff is not accurately sized for the units they need to communicate to and should expand team to adequately provide response and clarity for residents. Would not move back."
