"I hired them to help remodel my fireplace. The finished project was fantastic. But working with them along the way was a bit frustrating. Generally, they were nice. But communication was very poor. Brenda emailed me about having someone to come out to look at my project. We had set a time for Monday at 10 AM. By 10:30 no one had showed. So I called her and she said that she thought she was talking to a client with my same name. She had just left that person's house. Thankfully, I didn't take that day off just for that. She then told me that her husband was picking up the tile and was on his way to my house. If I didn't call her, I would have never been informed that he was coming that day and he would have just shown up. This happened again a few weeks later. I called her two times in a week and left messages and she never called me back. Finally the third time, she answered and asked if I was ready to get started because the crew was coming the next day!! No warning. No coordinating. Very frustrating. Thankfully, my husband has flexible hours so we could make it work. When the tile was all done, I pointed out an area to her that did not look correct. The tile was unevenly cut and there was a weird white edge on it. She came back to look at it when I wasn't home, and drew on it. With a sharpie. I was flabbergasted. It was very evident that she had just used a sharpie and looked very cheap for all the money I was spending on this. I asked that the crew come back out and fix the two tiles. I was then told that they would come out to look at things, but that I "need to be really selective in what else I ask him to do." I was made to feel like I had no right to ask for something to be redone. It was all very unprofessional. The worker was supposed to be there between 3:30-4:30. I left work early to make sure I was there. He didn't show up until after 5. He was very nice and we talked through my concerns and he had no problem replacing two pieces of tile that were cut wrong. All in all, I am happy with the finished project. But am very unhappy with the professionalism and communication of this company. I have no idea how they have mostly 5 star reviews."
