"1 star for concessions. Be warned, something is wrong with their oven and things like pretzel bites taste strongly of burnt plastic. Totally inedible"
"I used to go to the movies at least once a month. Now I go online to buy a ticket and they charge me for the convenience of me helping them reduce their staff at the ticket box. I also have some of my old Gold Tickets that I haven't used yet and I can't find out if they are still allowed because they never answer the phone (tried 3 times). Add to the fact that the movies being foisted on us are virtue signaling, preach fests and I can see why AMC stock is circling the drain. Crazy idea: reward customers for helping you reduce your overhead and act like you actually want people to come spend $100 at your establishment for a 2 hour movie and maybe you won't have to file chapter 11. Too soon?"
"Omg ! The seat horrible! And inside smell so bad! The movie theater I used to go (Legend) to often has cheaper tickets and good chairs."
"AMC is either too big to care or they were heavily affected by the Covid pandemic and haven't fully recovered yet. They certainly seem like they are in trouble if this is the new "normal." At least this location anyway. It's been a few years since we were last at AMC 24. In the past, the experience has been pleasant and typical issues would be corrected pretty quickly. Today we arrived early for a noon movie. The theater wasn't open yet and many other patrons were waiting patiently in their vehicles. Once there was signs that the doors were unlocked everyone made their way inside. We purchased our tickets while we waited so entering the theater was quick with a fast QR code scan. Being the first few through the doors on a Monday at mid day I would have expected the theater to be clean and tidy. Popcorn was seen on the floor still from the night before. The bathrooms were also not very clean. The flat surfaces were hardly wiped down as well. The butter station had butter spread around as well. We purchased our popcorn and drinks and made our way to theater 10. When entering the theater I noticed the lights were still on. As I went to notify an attendant, I observed the switch cover was broken, allowing me to flip the switch myself. I then returned to our seat. My wife told me she wasn't happy with how salty the popcorn was so she was going to get a refill in hopes of better tasting popcorn. Once she left I observed in the upper right corner of the movie screen there was a light shadow which made me believe a light was on in the projector booth that should have been off. I notified my wife to let an attendant know. She returned with a new batch of popcorn, which was still heavy on the salt. The whole movie the light shinning onto the screen from the projector booth was never turned off. Therefore there was a part of the screen that was washed out. We even observed shadows of people walking back and forth in the projector booth. Needless to say it was a distraction the entire time trying to watch the movie. I asked for a manager after the movie and she informed me that she knew of the issue and told "them" to turn off the light but that didn't happen. She quickly. Gave us passes for a free movie in the future. She stated they are in the process of getting all new projectors and there is a lot of work happening in the booth. We heard the IMAX projector was down as well. Ultimately we left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed with AMC. The theater seats were also heavily outdated now that I think about it. Even for a free movie I don't know if it is worth returning simply based on the cleanliness, uncomfortable outdated seats, and poor attention to detail. When we go to movies we like to let the rest of the world fade away so we can lose ourselves in the movie. We did not achieve the standards we are accustomed to seeing. For our time and money, other theater options certainly look more appealing."
"Pretty standard affair in that it looks like most other AMC theaters. It was clean and the lines at the concession stands moved fast. They also sell beer on tap which isn’t normal for all 50 states so that was an interesting add. The popcorn was great and the seats were excellent but the salted pretzel bites were “okay” at best. On top of that, you can expect your typical ridiculous prices on concessions. Recommend going to your movie on a full stomach and saving yourself the money—easier said than done when you have littles. But yeah, overall, it’s a very solid theater and movie experience was excellent. You could feel the music as well as hear it and there wasn’t any hissing. The screen was also crystal clear like you’d expect of an AMC. Worth the visit."
