"My stay in this hotel could be more pleasant. It is the perfect location, the great restaurant inside the hotel and the art gallery make this place special. 2 recommendations need to be improved and I will recommend this place to stay in Kansas City: receptionist service is terrible, looks like they don't want to serve people. The room is not clean."

"Lobby and art was cool, but suite had bad views, felt very dated and decor was mediocre. One of the two sinks didn’t work, the minibar/refrigerator didn’t work, the gym was very basic, and for the duration of our stay only one of the two elevators worked. The one that did work was incredibly slow. They’re were other frustrated guests regularly waiting on it. We travel a lot and will not be recommending or staying in any 21c hotels again. We expected more a luxury hotel experience, but this felt like a holiday inn with art in the lobby."

"I used to stay here for business travel. No more. The front desk often does not answer the phone. When they do, I often receive a difficult and obstinate person who is not interested in making the phone call a pleasant experience. Don't bother complaining to the manager of the front desk area. She is passive aggressive and covers up the aggression with a saccharine-sweet tone might be suitable for a toddler. 21C service has really gone down hill in the last year or so. As for the rooms, they are small, which is OK, but the water is so soft in this hotel that it feels like you can't get the soap off of you. I still like the restaurant."

"While our stay at the 21c Museum Hotel was overall good there were some drawbacks we encounter. Room: not clean, in general outdated, phone was not operating, bed was uncomfortable and noisy. Supplies and housekeeping: when we checked in there was very little toilet paper left in the roll and no replacement so we had to call from our mobile phone (as the room phone was not working) to ask for extra TP; there was complimentary coffee pods+machine but no sugar or cream. Food options: The hotel restaurant (Savoy) offers a variety of basic dishes that are somewhat creative. The bar is also great and they have a decent happy hour. Unfortunately, there is no other option for food such as breakfast and lunch. They offer complimentary coffee in the morning that seems to run out pretty quickly and not replenished (we tried to get coffee two mornings of our stay but it was empty. We wait for a fresh batch but it took too long and we had to go to our event). This hotel has a lot of potential but lacks on so many areas and misses the opportunity to cater to the specific crowds such ours (annual volleyball tournament). A breakfast bar with grab and go options in the morning (for players, parents and coaches) such as breakfast sandwiches, burritos, bagels, yogurts would help the guests immensely and generate good profit for the hotel. In addition, it would've been great to have access to ice (no ice machines available) and water (only one refill option on second floor). The location is the best thing about this hotel as it is close to all main downtown KC points of interest (convention center, Power & Light District, City Market) by walking or streetcar."

"When we entered the room, it smelled of sewer from the sink, so the initial experience was underwhelming. Dusty light fixtures, dust on the cups by the coffee machine in the room. Other than that, it was good. Our Netflix account connected to the TV just fine. The bed was very comfy. New Years Eve festivities were abound, but it was still relatively quiet in our room. The shower was nice. Enjoyed walking around and seeing the art. The next morning we had breakfast, and it was the best breakfast we have ever had at a hotel. The gym was convenient. The staff were friendly. Overall, it was enjoyable."
