"I went with my mom. Everyone was friendly and nice. But that's not what's important. I received the worst long hair haircut (as a man) I have had in my life. She tried to give me a mullet or something, even after I showed her a picture of what I wanted and commented throughout the haircut. I ended up shaving my head completely afterwards to start over. It was that bad. My mom complained that her hair looked exactly the same as before and that they barely took anything off. She was right. This wouldn't be a big deal if a simple men's haircut wasn't $25 and my mom paid over $45. The beauticians were like 20 years old, which is fine, but you shouldn't charge so much when your employees have such little experience."

"I was needing a new place for a hair refresh, and I wanted to give Platinum a try because I had heard good things about the salon. I called to make an appointment with whomever happened to have availability at the time I was looking for, and it happened to be Karlie. I was nervous to go into the appointment having had no personal experience with either the salon or stylist, but I was BLOWN AWAY by Karlie!! We talked through what I wanted, I showed her a couple inspiration photos, and she took it from there. During my service (2.5 hours - I have a LOT of hair), she was incredibly easy to talk to, kept me in the know about the balayage process, and made me feel very comfortable. The salon as a whole was beautiful, clean, and had a welcoming, relaxing vibe to it. I'm sure any stylist would be a great choice, but I got so lucky to be scheduled with Karlie, and she's my go-to stylist for good now!
