"KC Restaurant Week!! Visited Roots for the first time on Restaurant Week Brunch. Everything was very good and the service was great as well. We sat in the bar area but was just as good as the regular area. We all got the lobster deviled eggs, and they were super good. We all shared the tiramisu donut holes, which they are so good!!!! I got the avocado salmon toast and wow that was leveled and really good. Everyone else got the biscuits and gravy, and honestly, the biscuits were a little too crispy and not too fluffy on the inside. Gravy was a little too thin, and the meat I couldn't taste it. Black forest cake was good, had moist chocolate, and had very good cream inside. The cookies and cream was described as toasted vanilla but was just plain vanilla ice cream. I do suggest the apple cider mimosas."
"Checking out some new places on Restaurant Week and "Roots. Seasonal Cuisine" caught my eye. It was close and had a really interesting looking menu. I'm SO glad I went! It was really good, with a great menu--and the staff was really friendly. I'm glad to have such a great choice nearby!"
