"I’ve been to beaches all around the world and I’m comparing this beach to places like Okinawa, Thailand, Philippines, Egypt, Portugal. Mississippi does not have nice beach water or good beach front businesses. It’s still a mass body of water which is nice to look at and you’ll find some relaxing spots, but overall, not a place you should spend your money or expect clear, beautiful water or sand."
"The view was breathtaking, Beaches were very clean so I was able to walk barefoot. The pier was huge and well maintained. I was able to see for the first time in my life dolphins playing in the water. That right there was amazing and wonderful! I love dolphins but have never seen one till now!"
"The kids had an absolute blast!! Something to note is that we went out pretty far and it didn’t go above our knees. It would be perfect for small children because of that though. The sand is beautiful and the kids had so much fun playing in the sand! The kids were the most excited about finding a hermit crab!! We did not see any jellyfish thankfully, but I have read several reviews saying they saw them so watch out. The part of the beach we were on there were no trash cans so bring something to put your trash in. There also was not a lifeguard on duty, but it is September now though."
"Beautiful beach. We couldn't really hear the traffic on the section of beach we were on. The waves drowned out the traffic and it was beyond calming. We were also a nice distance away from the street. Although there were other people there, it wasn't very packed which was great."
"Nice beach for a day trip (we live in Louisiana) Jelly fish were everywhere and several of the kids were hurt. We were able to catch several hermit crabs early. Bait shop with food and drinks nearby. Port a potty looks to be cleaned daily and had several unopened rolls of toilet paper and a place to wash hands. Nice white sand that was easy for the kids to dig and make sand castles."
