"Really fun park to explore. The boardwalk is great over the marsh. Lots of wildlife to see and great views of the bay. The only reason I couldn't give it a 5 star is that the park definitely needs some maintenance. There is sadly a lot of trash all over the park."
"Decent but short walking paths. Lovely view of the Back Bay on a boardwalk walking path. Short paved walking loop that you have to briefly walk into the driving path to go around a water hazard, lol. Grass is well-managed. There's a kid's playground near the main road. This park connects along the water to the fishing pier behind the Handsboro Community Center."
"Watching the cranes come and go, walking the dog in the park and on the boardwalk, enjoying a foggy day - all at the quiet park and bayou. There’s spots to sit along the board walk. Plenty of grassy spots for the dog. Take an hour to explore this peaceful area."
"Very nice ,beautiful park. I walk my dogs there almost every day. Of course, there are always bad apples, who litter and drive on the grass after rains. Therefore making ruts in what once was beautiful grass. The littering seems to be less lately. So that's nice. This bayou preserve is actually a wonderful place. You can see all different kinds of wildlife. There are birds, turtles and lots of fish. Update: the gators are back. One grabbed my little Charlie right off of the edge, near the water and killed him. I jumped into the brackish water and swam/ walked out about 25 yards where I saw my baby boy floating. The gator was about 25 to 30 yards off to my right and was staring at me as I carried my dead little boy in my arms back to land. My point, watch out. Don't let your pets, your children near the water. But it's relatively easy to avoid doing so. There are several fishing spots, raised walking paths. At times this park looks absolutely majestic. Update: Charlie was my fur baby. I just read over my review and noticed that it isn't clear that my baby boy was a little fur baby. His ashes are always within my vision now. He has a lovely urn. I didn't mean to sound flippant in my review. His death was extremely painful and I will miss him...always."
