"My husband and I were fortunate to find this Gem tucked away, on a scenic and tranquil country road. Over our stay we enjoyed the picturesque property, short drive into town for essentials (5-10 minutes), privacy, friendly interactions with the woman who owns the RV park and stables, and even got to pet some horses and an adorable donkey. Our 25β airstream fit easily into the tv site, and water and sewer hookups worked great. Plenty of trash and recycling available, too! 10/10 highly recommend Greenwood RV Park and Stables. If we are ever in need of a home away from home near Biloxi, we will happily stay here again."
"We were on a 12 hour haul coming from FL. I allotted for 30 min of traffic and 30 min to pick up a horse on our way. Neither of those things happened so we ended up being about an hour early. I texted the host when I was 3 hours out letting her know our new arrival time. She said she wasn't available and I'd have to wait. I said I can't wait, I've had horses on the trailer for 12 hours. She said I was not to unload and was to leave them standing on the trailer while I waited for her. I asked for simple instructions on where to put my animals. She refused. This is absolutely unacceptable and animal cruelty. I ended up having to desperately find another place to go for my horses while on the road. She refused to refund my money. I cannot say enough negative things about this place or the woman who runs it."
"One thing I need to point out before I get to the campground Pros and Cons. The road coming into this is very narrow, one lane, so you big rig trailers and motor homes beware. It is not a heavily used traffic and for the most part, everyone is courteous and kind, just drive slowly and be careful. The campground is okay with semi-level gravel, and grass sites, but in the wet seasons, it can be a little rough. This campground is good everyone keeps to themselves but there are no amenities like you would find in most campgrounds. There are a couple of long-term visitors but for the most part, not all that bad. This is a very simple campground that does not have a lot to offer in amenities that you would find in other campgrounds. Now with that said there are so many places to see and go to in this immediate area that you don't need this campground to entertain you and your family. I might add that you don't have a lot of room around your campsite to set things up, very tight, and if you do want to place your camping stuff like folding chairs and whatnot your site will look cluttered. Too bad the sites are not wider. If you are into horses then this might be your top spot. Mary, the owner, and person in charge is extremely pleasant and will work with you on all your needs, including horseback trail rides and teaching you the proper way to ride. The downside of all of this in my opinion, for the price of this campground to stay at for the one month I found it to be very expensive for what this campground has to offer. PROS: 1. 30/50 amp hookup 2. Water and sewer 3. A lot of areas to walk around. 4. Quite Country setting 5. FREE firewood CONS: 1. Very small and tight campground 2. Campsites are semi-level, some on gravel and some on grass. If you are on just a grass site here when it rains, there is little runoff, so you will have puddles everywhere beware the heavy rains will sink your stabilizers into the ground if you are not on the gravel sites. Ask me how I know. The sites need to be on concrete especially down here. 3. The campground is kind of unsightly due to its size because of all the lawn chairs and other campers' stuff that is jammed into the small area. 4. All utilities are in the rear of the site so you may need to extend your electric, water, and sewer to fit your RV. 5. No dumpsters but there are garbage cans at the far entrance gate. 6. Outside of horses, there are no other amenities, no restrooms, no bathhouses, no pool, and no playground for the kids. But within a 15-minute drive south you will have all that and more."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our unexpected stay here. We ended up staying 2 nights due to having issues with our truck. Super friendly host and lovely grounds with a bunch of nice horses. 100% recommend"
