"One of the best spots on the coast for sea views and people-watching. If you have the stamina you can climb up the dunes. The sea was really wild when we visited"
"Beautiful Oregon coastline area in Pacific City. Nice place to hang out and just take it all in. Lots of white water on the ocean. Lots of sand! One can walk in both directions for quite a ways."
"This is my wife's favorite beach park. The sand mountain defies gravity and the logic mind, having steep sides and reaching higher than sends possible. The hike to the top is strenuous, but the views once there is well worth it. Pay attention to the signs warning of steep cliffs and dangerous drop offs as they are not kidding. The water is deep so the waves crash against the cliffs with great force, carving out caves and arches that are beautiful to look at but dangerous to explore. To the north of the sand mountain is a favorite place for hang gliding on the Oregon coast. On a good day you can see several hang gliders dancing on the breeze, seeming to be suspended from invisible strings as they effortlessly hover and move in their hypnotic patterns. I highly recommend visiting this state park."
"This is a fabulous beach and natural area off the beaten path of 101. You'll typically see lots of surfers here. Tide pools here are lovely and I suggest going at negative tide to see it's full glory. Please respect the sea creatures and plant life! The sandstone is beautiful against the deep green blues of the ocean. Huge dunes but beware the recent sinkholes. Also, respect the fenced areas. There have been many deaths of teens and young adults in particular ignoring the warnings. Pacific City is a great place to get some food and a little shopping. Go north to McPhillips Beach to drive on the beach and explore the north side of the cape."
"Visited for the first time recently to shoot a bridal session for a lovely couple & absolutely loved my time! It was so beautiful & the views were amazing! I can’t wait to visit again someday & have the chance to explore more!"
