Reviews of Applegate Lake Hart-Tish Park
"Nice place for camping. Still smokey and water was low. Tent sited are walk in and they have wheelbarrows. Most sites are flat. All have bear bins. Flush toilets."
"Hart-Tish Park is small but big with heart. The facilities are minimal so don't expect a resort. They have camping, RV spaces (in the parking area by the store), a boat ramp as well as a day use area. $5 day use per car and $7 to launch a boat. The store does not carry a lot so do not expect a market. You can rent some paddle boards and kayaks. Camping is dry with no electricity or water at the sites, this includes the RV area. There are regular restrooms with water at the camp sites and at the RV area. Check the website for further info, especially in July/August/September for any fire restrictions and/or store closures due to lake level. After the water level passes the boat ramp they typically close but camping/RV's are still available through recreation.gov unless otherwise posted. The lake is also a 10mph lake primarily for fishing which makes paddle boards and kayaks a lot more enjoyable. No speed boats or jet skies or the like. Recently, I neglected to bring my paddle and my wallet after a 45 minute drive. Beverly took care of me. So kind and generous. I was thankful for her offer and generosity. I later paid her back on another trip a couple of weeks later. Lovely people and a lovely lake. It is so peaceful and beautiful there. The drive alone is wonderful."
"I know it's probably closed now because the water levels are low... But I love this lake/park the guys that work there are always cool and helpful, it's a great place to take the family... Can't wait till next year!"
"From the parking lot next to the main office families can venture on a scenic walk for approximately 5 minutes to a beach like area. There, it's more situated for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding and pitching tents. If you don't have a tent, you can find shade in the trees and picnic tables. Then, walk down to the beach.4-legged tents I think are best, because you can pitch those next to the beach. Save you from taking long walks to your picnic table. Also, temperature can get to a high of 100°F but reservoir is there to cool you down. Ensure you have ice in your picnic bags to keep food and beverages cool, too. Paddle boards and fishing supplies are available for rental."
"Beautiful, clean, quiet lake. Very nice staff at the store by the boat launch. Wind for an extended time in the afternoon made paddle board somewhat of a challenge. Plan to go paddling early or in evening."
