"Took my dog there almost a year ago because my regular vet wasn’t addressing issues we were having. They examined my dog and told me to set up an appointment the next day to get him (and my other pets) updated on vaccinations. When I called the next day to set this up they told me they were not my vet and they would not be making this appointment, to not call them back. As a result of no vet taking my concerns about my dog seriously, he ultimately bit a close family member a few weeks later and ended up having to be put down. Today I was reminded of these heartbreaking incidents when I got an email from them telling me that it’s time to schedule a yearly appointment for my late dog. When I called to make sure that email never came again, they didn’t ask me for any identifying information, simply said they had it all. I can only assume that means they have caller id and will go off my phone number. Luckily, my phone number is the same as it was a year ago. Best thing they have going for them is some funny saying outside on their reader board."
"I wanted to wait to calm down to write this review so that I wouldn't write a bad review just because of anger. After talking to many conventional and holistic vets, not just from the USA but also from different countries, I felt like I needed to write this review to save other animals' lives. When we first brought our pets, we loved this animal clinic until my dog was diagnosed with cancer. Two months ago, my dog had a senior full wellness checkup. I told the vet about my concern, which was a lump on her leg. He did the FNA as he should have, but he didn't do any bloodwork or ask for a stool sample for the senior yearly checkup. Since he mentioned cancer, I was very nervous, and I forgot to ask as well. He also prescribed Enrofloxacin. The result became clear, but the antibiotic messed her up. She got better after two weeks, but I found out that most vets recommend giving probiotics with this medicine, which they didn't. My dog got sick three days ago, one more time. My husband took my dog to the vet and told them to do everything to make sure what was going on. They only did FNA and gave the same antibiotics even though I specifically told them not to. My dog was diagnosed with cancer, but until we got the results, the antibiotics had already messed her up. However, our vet and oncologist couldn't agree on what type of cancer she had. I called Hoffman and asked why he didn't do a blood test, and yes, I yelled at them. He invited us to the clinic, did the blood test, X-ray, and found more issues about her red cell blood. We asked two holistic vets and one conventional vet; they said she needed to stabilize. We took her to Hoffman again; he did an ultrasound and didn't find anything. Two holistic vets were sure there was something going on, and the other conventional vet from our home country said that she might need a blood transfusion. Hoffman didn't say anything. Last week my dog was having a hard time breathing, and she had some heart rhythm problems. My husband went to Hoffman to talk to the vet if he could prescribe anything for this situation. He said there was no medication for heart rate problems. I talked to many pet parents whose dogs had lymphoma; it turned out that their dogs were prescribed for the same problem. I actually learned about 4-5 different medications for this specific situation. Oh, I forgot to say that the vet told us that the first FNA result that happened two months ago may not be accurate. When I told him that the only reason it may be inaccurate is if the vet doesn't take the correct sample from the lump, he couldn't say anything. During all these situations, my husband and I were searching, talking, and telling them what to do, and when we didn't, they didn't do anything to help my dog. I really didn't think I needed to tell them to do the blood test, x-ray, or ultrasound, they are the vets, not us. They also prescribed the same antibiotics to my cat when I asked them how to help my cat not to have a UTI from stress. I thought that they would give him something to calm him down; instead, they prescribed him an antibiotic even though he didn't even have a UTI at this time. I know that they have already given up on my dog. We actually found a vet who really cares about animals and us, and it made me realize more how stressful all the experiences with Hoffman were; I was going to get sick. Now I'll always think about what-ifs because of Hoffman Animal Clinic. I'm upset, but I'm not writing this with anger. I care about animals more than humans, and I don't want anybody to go through what we have gone through. If Hoffman Animal Clinic wants the names of the medicines for the heart problem, I'm here to help. But as someone who loves their pets so much, I prefer an animal clinic that knows so many things and is willing to do everything to help them without me telling them what to do."
"The new front desk staff are unhelpful and full of attitude. We’ve been taking my Pitbull here since he was a puppy and the previous staff were very nice, informative and friendly. The new people need to get some better training and BETTER ATTITUDE"
"The absolute best vet I have ever gone to. Brought my dog in for a UTI, everything was reasonably priced and we were in and out! Friendly staff, super informative. We will be back the next time my girl needs something. Thank you for caring for my Eva! ❤️"
"Took my sick cat, Cassie, in for check up. She was given a long-acting antibiotic and I was given pills to give her. Cassie fought me "tooth & nail" about that. So I've had to take her in for 3 days to have them give her the pills and they've been wonderful about it. They have taught me how to give the pills , so I will try again. If I'm not successful, I'll be back in there tomorrow. Everyone there has been very kind and helpful. Thanks so much."
