"I moved into Aspire Eugene in the middle of 2022. When we first moved into our apartment everything was filthy, dirty, they didn't clean it like they said they did. The carpet was stained the sliding doors kept coming off the rail that whole apartment was so overpriced. For the condition it was me and my fiance live there for a year never fixed what they said they were going to fix these people take advantage of their renters they make everything seem so beautiful in the beginning but at the end there's snakes I do not recommend this place to live one thing the location is beautiful but overall the apartment was horrible the managers were unprofessional and criticized their renters. How to deposit supposed to get our deposit reimbursed but they are making us pay for the carpet we did not stained or mess up I have I hope you guys think twice before moving in. if there was a negative star rating I would rate a -5* go spend you money somewhere better then this place plus there also when they would come over to do maintenance I would have to be present or my fiance because I have valuable stuff there and did not trust there drugy maintenance employees the only maintenance person that did a good job and actually try to fix things in the apartment was Ron I would give him a five-star but aspire Eugene is so cheap that they try to cut corners to fix little things here and there. and that is not a good way to run a business it discusses me knowing that you do this kind of stuff and be okay with it open your eyes ppl."
"DO NOT MOVE HERE IN 2023+. I chose to ignore the bad reviews, and it was a horrible decision. Squirrels living in the cieling. Our apartment was not clean when we first moved in (dirty toilet, crusted poop on the floor, bad smell). The outdoor lighting doesn't work and feels unsafe when walking outside at night. Maintenance was questionable (see pics of cracking cement stairs and the strip of white paint on the cieling that was supposed to cover the water stain around it). It's $4 for a load of laundry ($2 to wash $2 to dry). The pool is closed for half of the summer for maintenance. The workout room is rarely stocked with toilet paper, let alone drinking water. No sleeping in on Friday mornings because landscapers start at 8AM. People who have lived there a long time say it's because of new management, and I'm inclined to believe it. They're legally supposed to have your deposit to you within 31 days after your lease end date. In my case, it took 47, and I had to call, email, and go in repeatedly to keep them attentive to it. They had to ask for my forwarding address three different times. My housemate didn't receive any newsletters the entire year, even though we asked them to fix it several times. They charged us for a day's rent after moving out because they neglected to tell us they no longer change locks after move out day, and instead use the previous key, or they charge you until you give it back. TL;DR A 2 bedroom here is not worth $1700+/mo when they're this badly maintained."
"Pretty bad place to rent. Landlords/property managers are incapable of communicating so it leaves certain leeway’s on policies, maintenance is a nightmare, lucky to have service within 2 months on lease withholding issues, overall just old buildings with overpriced laundry. Renter beware, it is a corporate agency with absolutely no care for renters. They increased laundry rates and didn’t even replace broken machines. As well as increasing rent with no improvement to infrastructure. Maintenance also does not care at all if you are limited mobility or disabled, they will park on sidewalks."
"I have been living here for a year and it’s been nonstop problems with management. My dog was attacked 3+ times by off leash dogs who live in the complex, tenant landlord laws were broken, and so much more. Not to mention all in person or phone complaints were not documented by management and management just told me that’s not their problem…. Shanna the manager at aspire was rude, gaslit me and interrupted me whenever we talk in person and when I email her manager I’ve gotten no response back. They simply wish to ignore everything. I emailed J Jackson at Avenue 5 residential but haven’t heard anything back regarding the negligence of their staff, management and the tenant landlord laws that were broken. I am a disabled and autistic individual who’s having to fight with the staff here for my basic safety and rights."
"Absolutely garbage that they have decided to hold our packages hostage considering not everyone is home/available to go to the office during their limited hours. I have disabled neighbors here that will have to walk out in the freezing cold just to receive their packages when they should be able to open their front door and grab them. What if someone had their life saving medication deliver and you deny it to them? How is that okay? You are making life for your residents much harder than it needs to be. You should not be enforcing this terrible policy."
