"They fired the only manager that actually did their job and fixed our rotten deck after living here several years. That manager was also the only one to fix our toilet after several requests over the last two years. Their replacement tried to walk into our apartment without notice or even nocking. Don't move here if you can avoid it. The management company is actively avoiding fixing issues."
"I have been a resident here since February of 2015, so I have been here nine years now. Shawn Rouse, the current landlord (on site property manager), is the best we have had. In his first week he cleared all of my maintenance items that had been submitted. He is a very visible person, who is usually found outside working on the grounds when not working in the office. Shawn also manages another nearby complex. He recently addressed our garbage regulations for those who could not comprehend that the black lid container marked “glass bottles only”, was not to be mixed up with the recyclable bins with red lids that are marked “recyclables only”. We also have a cardboard dumpster that clearly states all cardboard boxes are to be flattened before being left there. In addition, he reminded residents that the garbage bin costs $400 to “clean up”every time that Recology has to pick up bags left outside the dumpster when it is overflowing. He recently accommodated a young mother with a baby by simply trading parking spots with me. Since I live on Ford street, I don’t see the Evans street residents as often, other than to check the mailbox. My only gripe is that there are six apartments located on Ford street (out of 36 total). This causes a big problem for deliveries, as our address is 230 SE Evans. This results in a constant struggle for delivery personnel, such as UPS, Fed Ex, DoorDash, pizza deliveries and others. Unless they know that 19, 22, 25, 28, 31 and 34 are on Ford Street and not Evans, things get either undelivered at first, or are delivered to an Evans resident. I have met many other residents due to wrong deliveries, and have even helped other delivery personnel by explaining to them about the six units on Ford street. There are many pets here, so you can call it very pet friendly:) The location is great as we are surrounded by an open lot on one side, a parking lot on the other side, and a view of green trees across the street. This is very scenic considering we are three blocks away from downtown McMinnville. Last but not least, we are near water, grass and trees, so there are daily deer crossings:) I wish people would drive slower on Ford street due to the numbers of deer crossing. In my opinion this is the best rental in McMinnville. The location is great - downtown walks are good for exercise and 3rd street is only three blocks away. John Vernon Peterson"
"I’ve lived here 5 and a half years and have had a enjoyable experience. I have a few maintenance concerns and need my dishwasher fixed and kitchen breakers looked at. Shawn has a great attitude and seems more than willing to take on the many challenges involved including budget issues for repairs. He is appreciated in the short time he’s been with us. I wish him well in his efforts."
"Before I start I just wanted to stay I'm very happy that we have a manager now and Sean has done everything you can to get things straightened out here at these apartments which there's a lot that needs to be done and I feel that since he's been there he has done his best I just want to again say thank you to Sean and thank you to Nora Stevens for giving in the position of a manager he's a great manager and honesty before he got there I was thinking of moving but he's starting to fix the place up and work with tenants and I have chosen to stay so far but I can't say if we get another manager or we lose this manager that you'll have tenants because I'm sure you'll be losing a lot more but again all because of Sean this place has perked up so thank you Sean keep up the good work"
