"Thank you so much dr. Shimotakahara he figured out what was wrong when other doctors could not I could not be more grateful. I think he could see that I was very scared and nervous and he did not hesitate to show humor and a little compassion yes he does work fast and is very busy he got me in and out and helped me at the same time 40 or so years experience but in my opinion over 100 years of knowledge past down from generations. Thank you Dr. Shimotakahara"
"Dr Shimotakahara did my recent sinus surgery. He is a typical specialist. Fairly unremarkable. He evaluates with a quick exam & notes the primary complaint. Expect him to be impersonal. He will address your one or two specific issues & make a treatment plan/surgical plan quickly. Don’t expect to have a long, drawn out conversation with him about your concerns. He’s busy & he’s decent at what he does…he’s been at it for decades. He’s not going to make friends with you. He’s in medicine FOR PROFIT. Pre-payment on his surgical services is required. Again, don’t expect warm fuzzy feelings. I also found it difficult reaching his clinic staff when I needed help. It’s most often an answering service taking calls. I give him the average 3 stars."
"I've never been to Him And I'm very thankful that I didn't or haven't had to go to him and I found a way nicer ear doctor at north bend medical center Dr.Christianson. The reason I had to speak to this ear doctor instead is because he was on call for ear doctors and I asked him how he was and he paused and roodly said I'm good what can I do for u. I told him the issues and asked him if that's normal and he said I don't know you will have to call your doctor in the a.m. he's not nice at all I'm sure his demeanor in person and bedside manner is even worse!"
"The Dr. is good, I like him. He seems to understand ears quite well and has resolved several issues for me quite promptly that other Dr.s seemed to be very clueless about. However, appointments are difficult to get or cancel or change. They use a robot to call your house, can't talk to a robot as it's not programmed to listen or respond. Calling office gets voicemail with similar results. A human should be answering the phone."
"He examined and diagnosed me quickly while dismissing most of my concerns about further investigation . I hope he is right (swollen TMJ), caused by sleep bruxism, though I know I don't grind my teeth in my sleep. Other than that he was dutifully friendly though somewhat abrupt and lacked much beside manner. It seemed like he had too many patients to see in too short a time, overbooked, so I can't blame him for having to move quickly to get to the next patient. Just too many patients and not enough time at North Bend Med. Cntr."
