"Worst hospital I’ve ever been to! Pa says it a rotator cuff issue but wants to do an X-ray. You can’t see a rotator cuff on an X-ray though. I said I need an MRI. But he says no, it’s for emergencies only. I say o can pay for it, still no. What the hell kind of hospital is this?!?!"

"My wife and I had our 3 kids here several years ago. Before we had them, we went to the birthing classes to get ready. With the 1st and 3rd kids, everything was great, the staff were wonderful and the billing was. We really like Heather Maclean and the OB nurses were great too. I've also had some surgeries there as well which were a fantastic experience and the billing as all handled well & met deductible. However, despite all this, their billing practices leave... well... EVERYTHING to be desired, in 2019. What they did was nearly fill up each category of our insurance so we never meet deductible. When my Wife and baby had to stay in the hospital an extra day, our bill was double the size. Because of the extra day, you would have thought we easily met deductible compared to our first child, but no. They filled every category to within $20-$50. Keep in mind each insurance deductible slot was $500 - $2000 with seperate categories for my wife and categories for family. $7000 and we never hit deductible in any slot so we literally had to pay for the whole thing out of pocket. I get that their billing department wanted nothing to do Moda, which was our insurance at the time, but you can't expect people to shoulder the entire burden because Moda is such a bear to deal with. I had "raised voice" conversations with their billing department about our 2019 baby due to their unethical billing. However, my initial conversations were level-headed, but after speaking with a particular lady (don't remember her name), it was obvious she was a B**** and didn't want to help at all. She was pig-headed and said that once "the billing categories are applied, they are unchangeable" (lie), "so you are responsible for whatever is left". I responded with: THE ISSUE IS... NOTHING WAS BILLED TO INSURANCE AND WE SHOULDERED THE WHOLE THING. She responded with: "TOO BAD". We ultimately had to take out a loan to pay this off because they tried to send us to collections on multiple occasions even when trying to set up payment plans (before the argument). To this day 2024 we are still trying to pay off that loan. That said, our other two kids easily met deductible (with the same insurance), but their billing was in 2016 and 2021 respectively, we set up payment plans which are fully paid off. If I had the money for an attorney, I would have sued them in 2019 for unethical billing practices. It's amazing how corrupt some people are. I highly doubt it was the whole billing department who were so arrogant and rude in 2019, but instead one or two who didn't want to deal with Moda & didn't care who's lives they were trying to ruin."

"As close to a full service hospital as you will find on the south Oregon Coast. Well staffed emergency department that is open 24 hours (meaning not just urgent care). Most specialty doctors are here...a full cardiac unit, Cancer center and a dedicated joint replacement center...which I can personally say is top notch. Only complaint is pricing... treatment here can be spendy but hey... sometimes that just does not matter. Other times pays to shop around a bit for specialty tests (as an example). Well staffed reception area, a nice cafeteria and coffee shop, small gift shop. I've always received good care from this hospital...I have friends who would say otherwise. Hey...you might have to trust your life to these doctors...just nice to have a state of the art facility like this nearby on the coast."

"Look, I've already not had great experience with this hospital but if you want to trust them enough to be going in with a crazy sound followed with chest pain just to be diagnosed with acute chest pain: this is your place. They have hired people who are nice and made me feel comfortable enough to not completely panic. Then the rest is above."

"Do not trust Dr Gerber and the Nurses on the Psychiatric unit. They Discharged my son without a safety plan despite us begging them not to and 11 days later he committed suicide. If I could give them a negative rating I would!! We are in contact with a lawyer. I’ve also contacted JCAHO regarding patient safety. They refused to listen despite being told multiple times. Dr. Gerber isn’t even a Psychiatrist!!! Please take your loved one somewhere else to get proper professional help"
