"Waste of time and money. Went in with something that looked like hives. Skin sample taken. They scheduled a follow-up to take out the stitches. I said I could manage taking out the (two) stitches on my own. They said that I had to come back then get the results of the skin test. Fine. I went back, they took out the stitches, then told me the results weren't in yet. When I asked why they didn't just tell me that before I came all the way in, they didn't have an answer. Another week goes by and the results are in. They're inconclusive, so they're resubmitted. Um...okay. After a month of horrible itching, the results are back. Conclusion: they have no idea what was on my skin. Two weeks later, I get a $300 bill from someone in Portland who looked at the sample. Wish I'd known they were going to charge me for that, as well as the office visit. Overall, I found Dr. Young to be unimaginitive and a bit clueless. Scheduling appointments was a total pain, because the main office is up near Salem, but they handle all the scheduling for Corvallis and Albany. The office staff were friendly, but clueless. I really ended up spending $500 to have them tell me to take an over-the-counter antihistamine. Gee. Why didn't I think of that? After the experience I had, I wouldn't recommend any of the Silver Falls offices, but the Corvallis office is definitely worth avoiding, if you can."
"First of all, they LOOK very nice. Don't be fooled, though. The first time I went there I was prescribed an acne medication that reacted with my other medication (which he knew I was on) which turned my face orange. I was upset that he didn't know about the reaction since I easily found it on google. I gave them a second chance. I saw a different doctor when I went in a second time (thinking maybe he was just a fluke). My appointment went okay. She seemed hesitant, possibly like she didn't know what she was doing; she questioned herself a few times before she finally made a decision. Then, when I walked out of the exam room, I could hear my doctor, along with fellow employees, talking about the reason for my visit that day. It was embarrassing. They weren't being supportive, but rather 'making fun' of my visit. I lowered my head and didn't make eye contact because I knew they weren't being friendly. It really upset me. I go to a doctor thinking I will have a confidential appointment and come to find out the whole staff stands around talking about my visit. Needless to say, I will not be giving them a third chance."
