"Salem Alliance Church!! What can I say? It's been a powerful experience. God sent one of his vessels to interrupt me from ending my life. It was a very dark day for me, and he sent his light house a beacon of truth, love, and kindness to save my soul. This just happened about 8 weeks ago in front of the church. So those of you who feel there is no God. I am a living breathing testament that says there is a God, and he loves you, adores you, and says you are his beloved child."
"Over 18 years ago I visited upon recommendation and I decided at that time to visit each group until I found one I liked and fit in. I started with the group Branches and 18 years later I haven't tried my second group. I'm sure those who have gone to other groups feel the same way. This church has such an outreach to local and global impacts! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME CHURCH OR JUST TO VISIT PLEASE COME VISIT SALEM ALLIANCE."
"My Experiance with Salem Alliance Church, in particular (Pastor G) was very hurtful. Over a week ago I contacted Salem Alliance after recieving them as a contact for financial assistace to individuals who have no church home yet. The phone was answered by a very kind secretary who connected me to Pastor G's voicemail in case he Might be moved to help. I left Pastor G a message but didn't think it went through, so I called back and asked the secretary to connect me again. This time Pastor G picked up the phone and to my surprise, already knew what I was talking about. He seemed very annoyed and secptical of me. I informed him that I am a single mother to one daughter, a Christian, and that my daughter attends youth group at 2 different churches, one of which gave me Salem Alliance as a help contact. I also told him that I am a responsible person with a Job and have many charactor references if he needed. I was needing help with paying rent just this one time due to the poor economy, it being Summer and a lack of work at my job. I stated that I was willing to work and NOT asking for handouts or cash. I told him about how I have been reaching out anywhere I can to get any help possible and have been turned down everywhere including the 2 churches that my daughter attends Youth group. He then asked me if I was contacting as many churches as I can to see if they will help me. He asked this in a suspicious way as if he was assuming something about me. He also asked me where I live and asked me twice if I am driving all the way to Salem to take my daughter to Youth Group. Like he was assessing my driving 20 minutes to get my daughter to Youth Group. I was conveying everything I could to help him to understand that I am an honest person who really just didn't know what else to do! I told him that because of recent circustances and the economy, my home based business has taken a huge hit and that I had to go and acquire my CDL to make ends. I drive School But part-time to supplement my business income. I told him Exactly which district I work for and that I would provide phone number for proof. I have had to pay rent 2 weeks late for the last 2 months. I was told by my property manager that if I pay rent late one more time, my daughter and I will be EVICTED! I have never had such a threat in my entire life! Not only that, but my rent is a Whopping $2,000 per Month! I made all this clear to Pastor G. I told him that we don't have family but many references.. I am, and always have been a clean alcohol and drug free human being and have no criminal record. We're just in really hard times right now. I have been turned down for rental assistance because I make too much money. We're just hitting brick walls wherever I go for help! I answered every question that Pastor G asked me. Pastor G seemed very annoyed and distrusting of me. He told me that they give to an organization instead of the church (Salem Alliance) helping people. The organization that he mentioned is one that I had already contacted. I tried to tell him that I had already contacted them and they were totally out of funds due to so many needing help. . Public Assistance is slammed with people who need help. I don't even make much money right now, just more than the allowed amount to receive any help! Pastor G made sure to get off the phone with me. Our conversation was not very long inspite of this long message that I'm writing. It was so obvious that he was not keen on me and distrusted me. Also, I was really hurt that he didn't even offer to pray with me, or give me any advice, or just a word of encouragement. Even if he did not want to help me pay rent on time, he could have at least showed that he cared and that God cares for me and my daughter. Pastor G knew that we are facing homelessness. Even after I assured him that I would give him any information or references or phone numbers, he still was bent on thinking whatever he was thinking about me, and bent on GETTING RID OF ME! No Prayer! No Encouragement! NOTHING! Hurt"
"What a wonderful place to attend . Nice atmosphere, good messages, friendly ppl, safe environment. And the child care is available. Also, there are church services for deaf ppl; immigrants could learn English; sick ppl could attend a free medical clinic to improve their health and much more"
"There are opportunities to involve yourself and there is an opportunity to disappear because it is a big church. It will feel big or small depending if you join a house church/group. The study guides that follow the sermon series are excellent."
