Sherwin-Williams Paint Store 11475 Southeast 82nd Avenue, Portland, OR 97086

"Overall, this wasn't a problem-free experience. I had originally thought to leave a less-great review, but things happen that aren't perfect, and that's ok. It's how a business tries to make it right. More details below about my experience. I had an old gallon of exterior paint from our home's previous owners. We were going to use it for a project that we were adding to our shop, and needed the paint to match. It took a few calls to different stores to find one that had our base exterior paint in 5-gallons Amy out of stock). I brought in a picture of the colorants for the custom paint match from our old can, also from Sherwin-Williams. This one a 1-gallon can. The person helping me didn't scale this to the 5-gallon, and we didn't catch it until we got painting. When we figured out what went wrong, the store attempted to guesstimate how much paint was used, and put in colorants. It was close, but wasn't the right match. The store ended up making a completely new bucket with the right mix at no extra charge to me (it was their mistake originally). While this wasn't an ideal situation, and required a few trips back to the store, it's reality. It happens. But they stepped up and tried fixing the issue, then fixed it. The minor inconvenience is nothing compared to the store trying hard to fix a situation. I really appreciate that."

"I know it's their busy season but they don't keep an adequate supply of common paint (white) in stock. They only carry "something similar", doesn't work if you run out of paint mid way. The young lady is nice & tries to be helpful but she has no confidence & seems so unsure of the products she sells nor does she try to find you a good solution. Customer service 101 states you never tell a customer you don't have a product without following up with an alternative or solution. This sales associate was a deer in headlights. I had to ask the right questions to illicit answers so I can make an informed decision. Additionally, they give noncontractors no break in price when you buy a five gallon bucket, it's just $65. a gallon & they had no single gallons. It's quite apparent they prefer contractors over the DIY guy. There's better paint stores in town that offer far better customer service, so save yourself time, energy, & money & shop elsewhere."

We like that they will label your paint cans for the room you are using that paint in so no more wondering love that.
