"I found my wedding dress at Brides for a Cause in Portland for my August 2023 summer camp wedding, and I am so glad I went there. First, it felt so good to spend money at an organization that was doing such great work. But I really thought I would have to sacrifice my ideal dress to make it work and that was not the case at all. I got one of their last available appointments while I was home in Portland for Christmas (I live in Chicago now) and I found my wedding dress with my best friend/MOH on Facetime giving me advice as I furiously tried them on. The dress was exactly what I wanted and it was originally $2,750 but I got it for $450, all of which went to support great causes. I cannot recommend Brides for a Cause more."
"I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s beautiful, I was greeted and welcomed in with ease and good vibes, and the person who helped me (I’m so sorry I don’t remember your name!) was so helpful and lovely. I went in with my mom not really thinking I would find anything I loved, we were just looking for something easily alterable or to use as a base…little did I know I would walk out with my dream dress that needs minimal alterations. Not to mention, it is a $4,000 designer dress that I got for $600. AND that money isn’t just feeding the wedding industry (which can truly feel so sinisterly frivolous at times) instead it will support and uplift other women. I mean, what could possibly be better? I am so grateful that my mom found this place and that our purchase was something meaningful, not just for my special day, but for others as well. I can’t think of a better way this all could have come together. Thank you for all you do, BFAC!❤️"
"I wasn't sure what to expect but they definitely exceeded my expectations. A modest but plentiful selection of plus sized dresses. Many more in straight sizes. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Very nice not to be pressured to buy or overly complimentary. Just kind, helpful, down to earth staff. I was able to find and try on many dresses in my size (18). Definitely bring a friend to help you in and out of dresses. I walked out with a gorgeous dress for $400! It wasn't even second hand it was a sample donated by a store. Such a deal. Would recommend to anyone under a size 30 looking for a last minute or cost effective option for wedding dresses. Something for everyone. Modern styles, reasonable pricing. Couldn't have asked for a better experience."
"I've been to all the Brides for a Cause locations in the northwest, and this is the best one in my experience! The dresses are GREAT quality, and I found so many more that I liked here vs Seattle or Tacoma -- and for less, too! Actually drove all the way down from Seattle a second time only to buy this dress. Totally in love and would 100% recommend this place. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. The only downside was I did feel rushed out of the store. I was one of only two shoppers there finishing up at 3:05 and the store didn't close until 4, but I was still being rushed to finish up within 10 minutes when there were no other appointments after 3pm. I used to work in retail so I understand wanting to close early and tidy up, but this seemed very early to me to start rushing people. Other than that, 10/10 experience! Found the dress of my dreams and it was well worth the 4 hour drive! ❤️"
"I had such a great experience at Brides for a Cause. The staff was so nice and helpful, and there was also plenty of options to look through. I highly recommend any bride to look for a dress here. I tried on many options, this picture isn’t my dress, but it was a close contender. The only negative was you only get an hour to try on dresses. The prices are SO GREAT for wedding dresses. My final dress ended up being only $200!"
