"Really weird experience at this store. I buy pants, bring them home and realize they aren’t the best fit so I bring them back the next day to return them. I left all the tags on and when I get to the front the manager says it’s in store credit or exchanges only. Apparently this policy is outlined on the receipt which would have been fine if I had been provided with any form of one (printed, emailed or even spammed), or been verbally notified of this policy either when the purchase was made. It was such a weird power trip that this seeming to be store manager was on. She said she remembered me from ringing me up literally the day before and was immediately able to find the purchase in the system but when I brought up not being notified about the return policy she got all cringey and said the “policy will stand” and acted like I was trying to pull something with her and I was holding up her line…..? It’s your job to notify your customers about your policies and you certainly shouldn’t treat people like it’s their fault when you mess up. Even if it really is the end of the world to process an actual return (which it’s not, seriously come on), you could have admitted to the possibility that you never sent a receipt or even verbally outlined your policy. Acting like your bad is my fault and I should have known better is ridiculous and just a gross way to do business. Apparently this place makes enough money that they don’t need to worry themselves about brand loyalty. Best part was when she handed me back the pants and a coupon like I would be now wearing the pants or be back to that store."
