"The candles smell nice, but unfortunately this business has made the decision to sell counterfeit designer bags likely made by enslaved children to turn a quick buck. It made that blue lives matter merchandise all the more ironic. If a black man deserves to be shot to death for not obeying commands, what does someone willfully and blatantly violating federal law selling stolen intellectual property deserve? Ten to twenty years in prison, minimum. But I'm guessing there is an excuse here that only is available to white small business owners."

"I love walking into the Newport Bay Candle Company. Most of the candles are heavily fragranced and lingers outside of the store. This is something to remember if you are highly sensitive to fragrances. They offer candles in several different styles, fragrances, and sizes. They also offer wax melts and various other gifts as well. In full disclosure, I've had both positive and negative experiences with their gel candles and wax melts. Some of the candles performed poorly while others worked quite well. The wax melts were also a hit or miss as some provided a nice fragrance while others didn't last long enough. For this reason, I struggled with the rating. However, the employees are always friendly, and the selection of products available are plentiful. I gave the 4 star rating as I've had more positive experiences than not. I recommend stopping by when you are in Newport. They are a small local business with 2 locations in the community. It is definitely a fun shop to visit."

"I really hate to leave a bad review on a small costal business but these candles are dangerous. I bought one when we were in town a couple months ago. A few weeks ago I had it burning in my mantle while I was doing the dishes. My husband walked into the living room and the entire jar was on fire with flames that were about 4-6inches high. Fortunately there was nothing around for it to catch on fire but that should not have happened. It was only the 2nd or 3rd burn and had been lit for about 10 minutes when that happened. Buyer beware on these gel candles."

"I stopped in while browsing through the shops on the street and found this shop! The lady who working was super friendly and knowledgeable about the candles and Newport in general as I was from out of town. I purchased their Newport Bay beach candle with shells on the bottom, super cute and it smells amazing!"
