"1/25/24: Reduce your expectations, perhaps it will work out... I made the assumption that the prior five-star reviews would be my experience. NOT ... EVEN ... CLOSE!.. I have an RV (sprinter van) rental that my customer scraped. After I read their high (and low) reviews that seemed too vague to trust, I scheduled for Jan 8, 2024 and was told it should be done overnight (the next day). I blocked it off for two days to be safe. 12/13/23 - The PTC employee "rep" that quoted me, called as a professional courtesy to say he was leaving, so a new field rep would be assigned to my van. Two weeks later, I called their main line to book for 1/8/24. After being asked who my rep was, "that's now..." so they forwarded me to his extension, where I was told that it "should be done by the 9th." 1/8 - I dropped off at 7:30am where it was checked in by the receptionist. 1/10 - I heard nothing. 1/11 - I called the same number to ask if it was done ... crickets. 1/12 - the area was hit with a week-long storm so I expected nothing for a few days. Another 10 days passed ... 1/22 - I called, knowing that the snowstorm would no longer be an excuse, left a message to ask what was going on ... crickets. 1/23 - Crickets 1/24 - Crickets so I called again during lunch. I was passed to a full mailbox, then called back by someone realizing he sent to the wrong extension, instead sending me to a guy named Matt. All things considered, I was very polite about asking what was going on with my van. "Well, [X] left without telling anyone, things got mixed up." I said, "But he left over a month ago, he called me to let me know. I'm just wondering what happened in the 15 days since it was supposed to be done, I've left multiple messages." "Well it's been done, it's ready so there ya go." Just wow!.. 1/25 - I called in advance to say I was coming to pick it up. The receptionist asked if I was paying by check or credit card. I said Credit card. "Well there's a 3.5% fee we'll have to add." I didn't have my checkbook, no time to run to the bank, so I had my driver go straight there. (had to get a ride to pick it up) I arrived expecting to see a somewhat clean vehicle like the one I dropped off (and took pictures of before dropping off - lessons of a rental company). What I found was some large splats of mud (?) that looked like a flock of seagull shat at it on a fly-by. (not the case, but the dark mud was THAT bad) Absolutely obvious, since they had it parked with that being the most obvious thing to see. So, over two weeks late, an extra $44 surcharge for the credit card and another $48 for me to take it to the truckwash ($2.00 per foot) before I can rent it again. (not to mention the $1,100 loss of a 3-day rental I had to decline while I listened to crickets.) All this aside, I was calm when the rep came out. I simply pointed at their month-size desk calendar and asked "So what happened between here [1/10] and here [15 days later]?" "[x employee] left the company without any advance warning on the 16th of December." My phone records told me he gave me three days advance prior to that, so I just let it go. I then asked him about the mud. He appeared oblivious, despite it looking like it had been there for days. It's been raining, and still stuck on. "Well I can have someone clean it for you if you want to wait." My driver was waiting to follow me to drop it off, so I had to decline sitting there waiting for another half hour for them to wash my van. My only option was to grab one of his biz cards as a reminder to post this warning to the general public. Think twice. Take pictures before/after. Be forewarned - they charge a 3.5% surcharge on a high ticket service!!! (SHOULD just be the cost of doing business ) Always document dates/times and names. You may just need it to call "BS" on excuses that don't hold up to the facts. Fact is, they missed an opportunity to just apologize for dropping the ball, washing the van for a 1st impression and waive the stupid surcharge - I thought only mini-marts did that for small purchases."
"Troy got back to me quickly and let me know my vehicle was not a candidate for a wrap. I appreciate his honesty. I will be considering a paint job in the near future. Thanks."
"10 years ago I got my first service van painted by these guys. The professionalism and top-notch quality that they performed help set our business apart from my competitors. I recently just went back and had that same van stripped of the graphics, buffed out the paint a little bit, reapplied graphics and it looks like brand new again. These guys are super professional, honest and stand behind their work.Thank you Troy and Kent!"
"Amazing crew of people there, Kent was easy to deal with and very professional. They did exactly what I wanted. Exceeded my expectations and kept me on budget with my build. I will back to have them do more work on my truck. I wonโt trust anyone else. They wired up some auxiliary lighting and did a fantastic job."
"Pacific Truck Colors is a trustworthy company and have great employees. I have had them work on our company vehicles twice now and the experience is flawless. I just purchased a shelving unit off eBay and tried to put it in myself and I ended up calling these guys and they said they could install the shelf and they asked me to come in right away! I'm still in amazement. Highly recommended company."
