"The amount of things that have gone wrong since I have gotten here (only been here 3 hours) is insane. 1. Valet never came out 9no sign informing you that their is valet or directions), I couldn't park my car on the street via signs, and waited on hold calling the front desk for 8 minutes before I drove around the block and parked in the parking garage next door. Far, unsafe, and inconvenient. After I got to the lobby, the staff was all sitting around at the bar area and had me wait 2 minutes to get greeted... 2. The gym. Missing equipment that they have on display to workout with (take down the POINTLESS posters). There were no mats for the ground so I laid the sweat towels on the ground for my workout. I had to use 9 of them. 4 of them were for the ground and the other 5 had HAIR on them. 5 of the sweat towels 5, had a piece of hair on them. What the hell... you clearly are not washing those... 3. The bathroom/shower. I go to take a shower after my workout... and you wont believe it... all 3 of the towels they gave me had brown marks, or a whole black hand print on them. I bet you thought that yeah... that just validated me on if the hotel washed the towels lol. Naked, ready to get in the shower, I had to put back my gym clothes on, call the front desk for towels, and wait. At least the new towels they brought me were clean and warm from the dryer. part 2 of # 3. The shower head piece that is detachable was facing the shower door and guess what... I turned that sucker on and it sprayed the whole bathroom with water. Now all my new towels were wet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :). Finally, I get to take a shower and the water went cold after 3 minutes. I luckily turned it off and 1 minute later hot water came. I've never experienced cold water come out of my hotel shower.... have you?? If so, they need to fix the water heater for a place that's supposed to shower 100+ people. 4. The Bedroom. I had crumbs on my floor, the light under the bed wasn't working and I figured it out because I saw a mysterious cord hanging from under my bed horrified thinking it was a camera or recorder. No coffee maker, and the internet on my TV is not connected. I am also right next to the elevator and across from the ice machine. literally what the heck. I hope your experience isn't as bad as mine. At the moment, I highly DO NOT recommend this specific Moxy hotel."
"Loved the experience of staying there. Rooms, service and staff were spectacular. Conveniently located near several restaurants, with a drinks in the hotel lobby. The vibe was quite memorable.Only downside is the location. The parking was a nightmare. And if you’re interested in that disgusting Bourbon Street.it’s literally minutes away.(Bring your hazmat suit), because it’s filthy, smelly and gross.Love the Moxy though."
"I stayed in Moxy hotels in Switzerland several times before and loved them, so I assumed I'd love this one as well. But no! The room was big but otherwise very basic: no fridge, no window (just a blacked out mock window), no hand towels, no shampoo (I had to wash my hair with hand soap), no trash can in the room (only in the bathroom) ... There was also a gross smell in the room and stains on the sheets that looked like they could have easily been cleaned if someone actually tried. The room wasn't cleaned during our stay. On the plus side: the location is great. It's about a ten minute walk to Bourbon Street. And the staff at the front desk was friendly, just very busy at times, so prepare for a bit of a wait. FYI: There are two parking garages next to the hotel where you can park your car for around 30 $ a day."
"I stayed in this hotel in October 2023 and it was fair. We were given terrible complimentary welcome drinks upon arrival but, I didn't care because I don't drink and asked for mixed fruit juice. I actually, liked the room setup as I opted for a 2 queen bed room because I was rooming with my sister. The room was big enough for 2 and bigger than some rooms in other hotels that I've stayed in. We had 2 TV's and the room was situated to where we both had our own private areas in separate corners. We actually, liked the setup. We didn't have a fridge but, was able to get ice from the bar downstairs whenever we wanted. However, I had an issue with our toilet leaking throughout our time there that no one came to fix. We had to use one of the bath towels to soak up the leaking water everyday. Unfortunately, my friends room, whom I was travelling with had the same exact problem with her toilet. However, hers was worse because her room actually flooded in the middle of the night and needed to be moved to another room at 3 a.m. Overall, the location was pretty good, close to everything and is in walking distance of restaurants, in addition to Canal street. They have a snack area down in the lobby so, no need to go to nearby convenience stores. The staff was fairly nice and there are games in the lobby if you plan to stay in. Would I stay here again? Maybe, yes if the price is right. But, they definitely need to get the plumbing straightened out first before making that call."
"The check-in process was easy and the hotel offered a complimentary drink too! The staff was incredibly friendly. The room was nice and clean. The restroom was okay, could be a little bit cleaner. We were able to walk to many other locations like bourbon street. I highly recommend the moxy and would stay there again!"
