"I am deeply disappointed by the lack of support and resolution I have received from GNO FCU. Despite being a loyal customer, the credit union has failed to address a crucial issue regarding my car title. Last year, I paid off my car loan and the credit union claimed to have mailed the car title to me. However, it never arrived in the mail. They then requested that I file a "lost mail" claim with the post office, which I did. After a thorough investigation by the post office, it was determined that the title could not be located. What is most frustrating is that the credit union did not use proof of delivery when mailing the title. They now expect me to bear the burden of their mistake by paying a fee to obtain a new copy of the title at the DMV. Despite my attempts to explain this to them, they have shown a complete lack of responsibility and accountability. As a result of their negligence, I am left without proper documentation for my vehicle. It is disheartening to see a credit union, which should prioritize the needs and satisfaction of its customers, demonstrate such a lack of care. I hope that my experience serves as a warning to others considering doing business with this credit union. The lack of support, failure to take responsibility, and disregard for customer concerns make it clear that they do not prioritize their customers' best interests. I strongly advise seeking alternatives for your financial needs. It is essential to choose an institution that values its customers and is willing to provide the necessary support when issues arise."
"I've been with this bank for over 35 years. The first time within that timeframe, I forgot to transfer money from one account to another .To cover an auto monthly withdrawal for my house notes. The items was returned by the credit union the morning of the 5th at 8am. When I discovered today was the 5th of the month. Immediately I transferred the funds at 9:45am that morning. Normally I would transfer the funds weeks before the note is due. But, I can't say how I over looked the payment this month. The credit union have been making the same withdrawal for over 28 years. I feel good customer service would have been to contact me before returning the item. The reason for doing business with a credit union vs a big bank institution is the closeness. It's time to reconsider"
"Love, Love, Love, this Credit Union. Brandy in the Mortgage department made my transaction smooth and stress less! I told her my plan and she took it from there. All the women in the mortgage department are amazing. Brandy, Stacey, Tania and Rhonda are easy to talk to and make you feel like you are part of the family. Great rates, great customer service and fast turn around. What more could you ask for?"
"I do not recommend this credit union at all. They will hold your funds as long as they can, and my other credit union suggested that what they are doing is possibly fraud. They held the funds from a cashiers check for 11 days, and they knew it was valid. Also, there is no call center during hurricanes. No help at all from 2 days before a storm until who knows how long after. Get your money out before hurricane season, or you might get stuck with no evacuation funds! UPDATE: After a week of GNO giving me the run around and not being able to fully or consistently explain why they were holding the funds, they released the full amount less than 12 hours after I wrote this review. It seems that they don’t have a system for releasing cashiers checks, and that it’s all up to whoever is working that day. That does not inspire confidence in a financial institution. I’d recommend choosing a different credit union."
"I had the absolute best experience refinancing my mortgage at GNO. The process was so easy and was completed fast. The lady who helped me was so nice and explained everything so it made sense and the closing fees were so much lower than the big banks I got quotes from. I will definitely be bringing more of my business to GNO."
